Philippine Blind Union Inc and the National Council on Disability Affairs is hosting in Manila Philippines the WBUAP 13th Regional Massage Seminar on May 4-6 2016. Theme of this seminar is “Maximizing Skills, Technologies and Opportunities for Economic Empowerment ” and this seminar aims to push for the inclusion of massage in the regional economic framework. Furthermore this activity will provide an opportunity for participants to share massage techniques thru hands-on demonstrations as well as updating of advances in technologies in assistive devices thru an exhibit of said items during the activity. Everyone is cordially invited to participate in this seminar, which is to be held at the Century Park hotel located at Manila, which is the historic capital of the Philippines, and is just 30 minutes away from Ninoy Aquino International Airport, and quite near the biggest mall of Asia, the Manila Ocean Park and other tourist destinations that will provide oneself of the opportunity to experience the warm Filipino hospitality and local cuisine as well. Registration fee is very affordable at 265 US$ per visually-impaired participant and US$ 220 for sighted accompanying persons or personal assistants Those paying the registration fee on or before January 31, 2016 will get a discounted rate of 250 US$. Registration fee covers morning snacks and lunch for May 4 to 6, afternoon snacks for May 4 and 5 and dinner for may 4 and 6. Halal prepared food will be provided with prior arrangement for the benefit of our Moslem brethre feen. Also included are conference materials, use of radio transceivers for translation, and also covers shuttle service to and from the airport and hotel, as well as site visits to massage and rehabilitation centers. All participants are enjoined to arrive on May 3, 2016. Deadline for registration will be on March 31, 2016. We hope that thru this interaction, we can adapt a statement geared towards the advancement of the massage industry.
