Ang Oktubre 5, 2025 ay tinaguriang WORLD MENINGITIS DAY.

Ito ay naglalayong palawakin ang kamalayan tungkol sa meningitis, mga sintomas nito, at mga bakuna na makakatulong na maiwasan ito.

Ang unang World Meningitis Day ay ginanap noong 2008, at ginagamit ito ng Confederation of Meningitis Organizations (CoMO) bawat taon mula noon upang isulong ang kaalaman ukol sa meningitis bilang isang pandaigdigang isyu sa kalusugan ng publiko.

Hinihikayat namin ang publiko na subaybayan ang page namin hanggang Oktubre 5, 2025 upang ibahagi ang aming mga post upang ipakalat ang kamalayan at kaalaman ukol sa nakakapinsalang sakit na meningitis.

POSITION PAPER OF PHILIPPINE SOCIETY OF ADOLESCENT MEDICINE SPECIALISTS
(PSAMS) and SOCIETY OF ADOLESCENT MEDICINE OF THE PHIL. INC.(SAMPI)

We urge our colleagues in healthcare and medical societies, whose missions focus on protecting the most vulnerable and delivering the highest quality, evidence-based care to those they serve, to engage in thoughtful discussions and promote what is most sound to create a balance between science and values.

This is a critical issue for public health. While there has been progress in sexual and reproductive health in the country, the current attacks on CSE and SB1979 risk reversing those gains.
