Our Story

ALLIED BOTANICAL CORPORATION is one of the leading vegetable breeders and seed suppliers in the Philippines. With a focused program for localized breeding, the company prides itself with its rigid selection and production for tropical vegetables. For the past two decades, the company has consistently provided the Philippine market with premium seeds and other farm inputs, driven by its mission to propel the Filipino farmer to become globally competitive in the 21st century.

RESEARCH AND EXTENSION Unlike any other seed company in the country, ALLIED BOTANICAL CORPORATION employs only the highest standards for its selection of products. Its research and development program is primarily aimed at developing vegetable varieties to suit local growing conditions. This involves breeding for high yielding properties and resistance against local pests and diseases and selection of varieties with superior adaptability to tropical conditions. The company’s 23-hectare research station in Tayug, Pangasinan plays a pivotal role in realizing its goal to expand and maintain its reputable product line. Equipped with its modern facilities and a strong research and breeding staff trained both locally and internationally, Allied’s research station breeds and screens most of its new vegetable varieties which undergo years of rigorous testing and evaluation before they are eventually released for commercial distribution to farmers all over the country. Over the course of its decades of service to the Filipino farmer, ALLIED BOTANICAL has developed and introduced several superior varieties of ampalaya, lettuce, and onion to the Philippine market under the renowned Condor brand. The company has also recently released newer and stronger lines of indigenous vegetables like eggplant, calabasa, and sitao (pole beans). These varieties are gaining nationwide fame for their superior resistance to diseases and high yielding traits even under varying atmospheric conditions.
