Welcome Rotonda MPC — Free Laboratory Test
November 25, 2025

Another meaningful community health activity successfully carried out with the support of the Philippine Cancer Society, Bahay San Jose, Institute for Dementia care Asia - IDCA, and Purple Angel. Residents were able to access free laboratory tests and health assessments, promoting early detection and strengthening preventive care within the community.

A sincere thank you to Ms. Charline Dominguez, Chairwoman of the Welcome Rotonda MPC, whose initiative and steady coordination were key in making this outreach possible. Beyond her cooperative leadership, she also serves as the Operations Director and part owner of Bahay ni San Jose, a care facility of IDCA. Her commitment across these roles continues to reinforce the community’s support system and played a central part in ensuring today’s activity ran smoothly and meaningfully for everyone.

Grateful to our partners, volunteers, and participants for lending their time and heart. Efforts like these build the foundation for future health and dementia-awareness programs that can further support more families in the years ahead

Improving Neurocognition through Dance and Kinesthetics (INDAK) Dance for your Brain is stepping into the dancesport floor, showing that dance is not only a sport but a meaningful activity that supports brain health and well-being.

Congratulations to
Rhea Marquez and Hanz Basan
Roque Marquez and Patricia Angel Ramos
John Laurence and Chelle Canoy Glariada

Led by Jaypee Decena, Head of INDAK, whose drive continues to push this movement into places where dance becomes a tool for stronger brain performance. This achievement reflects the ongoing commitment of IDCA to bring evidence-based programs into real-world spaces where they can make a difference.

Another milestone for the Institute for Dementia Care Asia.

Memory Café at Bahay ni San Jose – September 27, 2025

Our latest Memory Café was a heartwarming success! Seniors from Marikina and the Welcome Rotonda Cooperative joined residents, students, and friends for an afternoon of storytelling, laughter, and learning.

Through Kamishibai, shared by Mr. Junichi “Jack” Fukui, we experienced the Kaigo Japanese way of caring—bringing both inspiration and joy.

Special thanks to Dean John Michael Flores and the SBLC students, Ms. Charline Daweg Dominguez for her hospitality and sumptuous food that left everyone satisfied, Mr. Lavern Ednalan and his wife for bringing their special guest, Nurse Panganiban for providing dementia screening through the MOCA test, and our Sister Society Welcome Rotonda Cooperative for bringing participants which made the gathering even more meaningful.

The Memory Café is part of the growing Purple Angel Global Dementia Awareness Campaign, a worldwide initiative that continues to expand in many countries. In the Philippines it is organized together with the Institute for Dementia Care Asia (IDCA) to raise awareness and build supportive communities.

A truly meaningful day filled with learning, laughter, and love. Until the next Memory Café!
