Starting Solids: A Simple Guide for Baby 🥣👶
From purees to family food—step by step!

Milestones:
• 6 months → Pureed foods: soft, smooth, easy to swallow
• 8 months → Finger foods: soft pieces baby can hold
• 10 months → Lumpy / chopped: more texture, practice chewing
• 12 months → Table food: same meals as family (healthy versions!)

Easy Starter Ideas (Filipino-friendly):
• Mashed kalabasa or carrots
• Mashed saging or avocado
• Dinurog na chicken or giniling
• Scrambled egg (well-cooked)
• Soft tofu

Iron-rich options:
• Meat: chicken, beef, liver
• Iron-fortified cereals

✨ Simple Rules:
✔ Introduce one new food at a time (3 days) → Para if magka-allergy or rashes, alam natin kung anong pagkain ang nagdulot nito
✔ Start small: 1–2 tsp/day
✔ No strict order—mix & match

⏰ BEST TIME TO FEED:
✔ fully awake si baby
✔ hindi bagong dede / milk
👉 para gutom = mas receptive to new taste

Follow Baby’s Cues:
✔ Hungry? Feed
✔ Full? Stop
✔ Never force-feed
✔ Make eye contact, talk to baby, keep it fun & relaxed

Meal Frequency:
• 6–8 months: 2–3 meals/day
