The University of the Philippines Progressive Responsive Innovative Movement in Engineering, or better known as UP PRIME is a leadership socio-civic organization and vibrant student formation that envisions a brand of leadership essential to and representative of the College of Engineering. Through various campaigns, activities and services, UP PRIME has continually provided students with opportun

ities to be a part of a greater formation towards a progressive, responsive and innovative society. By training students to become leaders and passing on to them the legacy of “responsible student leadership” that PRIME has ever since maintained. This is student leadership coupled with academic responsibility; in testament to the fact that as students, the primary task we have for and in the University is to fulfill our academic duties. For PRIME, an excellent student leader is always an excellent student first. UP PRIME has always upheld excellence, the very principle realized and materialized through its various projects, activities and campaigns. In the past years, we have been the source of most of the members of the Engineering Student Council. Most UP PRIME members also hold key leadership positions in their respective student organizations; with all of them still being models of academic excellence at the same time. This has been and will always be the brand of leadership that we in PRIME promote – a balance in all aspects of the student leaders’ personal growth and potential development. Certainly, PRIME shall continue to pave the way towards a progressive, responsive and innovative brand of leadership, an ideal that the College of Engineering has always highly respected and has continuously trusted over the years.

Mula Science Complex hanggang Engineering Complex at Melchor Hall, dama ng bawat Inhinyero at Siyentista ng Bayan ang matinding epekto ng budget cuts sa ating Pamantasan. Nakikita ito sa kakulangan ng kagamitan at pasilidad na kinakailangan upang maisulong ang ating mga pananaliksik. Dahil sa limitadong suporta, marami sa atin ang napipilitang dumulog sa mga institusyong labas ng unibersidad, o gumastos mula sa sariling bulsa, upang maipagpatuloy ang ating pag-aaral.

Kung kaya’t mariing na tinututulan ng UP PRIME at MATTER ang kawalan ng prayoridad ng gobyerno sa edukasyon at sa sektor ng agham at teknolohiya sa ating bansa. Hindi ganap na natatamasa ang Free Tertiary Education kung ito’y nananatiling libre lamang sa papel ngunit kulang sa pondo, pasilidad, at oportunidad para sa tunay na pagkatuto. Ang kagustuhan nating mag-ambag sa bayan bilang mga siyentista at inhenyero ng bayan ay nahahadlangan ng sistemikong kapabayaan at patuloy na komersyalisasyon ng edukasyon.

Sa nalalapit na College Student Council Elections, tangan namin ang panawagan laban sa budget cuts. Ang laban sa loob ng ating mga silid-aralan at laboratoryo ay laban sa mas malawak na mga isyung panlipunan. Kaya’t buong tapang na naninindigan ang UP PRIME at MATTER bilang tinig ng mga Inhinyero at Siyentista ng Bayan—para sa edukasyong tunay na makabayan, makamasa, at siyentipiko.

Naglibot ang mga kandidato ng UP PRIME para lumapit, makipagkwentuhan, at imbitahan ang mga Inhinyero ng Bayan na manindigan, makialam, at makiisa sa laban para sa isang makabayan at makamasang edukasyon.

Mula Melchor Hall hanggang ICE, EEEI, at DCS, kinatok namin ang mga klase at org tambayans na dala-dala ang paninindigan at plataporma para sa isang progresibong COE.

Kasama rin ang Laban Kabataan Coalition sa aming laban para sa genuine student representation.

We 𝙊𝙋𝙏𝙄𝙈𝙄𝙕𝙀 by making financial aid accessible, pushing for thesis grants, initiating the SAFE Project, supporting EnggTrepreneurs, and securing student discounts.

Sa bawat agos, kaakibat namin ang DALUYONG ng paglilingkod!

Ipagpapatuloy natin ang pagbukas ng mga Grievance Forms para dinggin ang mga hinaing ng ating komunidad. Magkakaroon din ng One Stop Help Desk at Primer for Registration Concerns para sa lahat ng mga pangangailangan tuwing panahon ng enlistment. Paiigtingin din natin ang ating relasyon kasama ang Eng’g Lib, OCG, FOCA UP, at QC Animal Care and Adoption Center upang maipaabot ang kanilang mga serbisyong, lalo na sa usapin ng mental health at student welfare. Ilulunsad din natin ang Kapihan sa Study Area ng Melchor Hall tuwing midterms at finals season sa pamamagitan ng pakikipagtulungan kasama ang EASL, Eng’g Lib, at Eng’g Admin.

Ibabalik natin ang proyektong MULAT: An Educational Discussion Series, Eng’g Digest, at Basic Masses Integration na naglalayong palawakin ang politikal at sosyal na kamalayan ng mga Inhinyero ng Bayan. Bubuhayin rin natin ang VOTEng’g, isang inisyatibong naglalayong magpalaganap ng kaalaman hinggil sa mga kandidato at kanilang mga plataporma ngayong 2025 Senatorial Elections.

Ihahatid natin ang mga makabuluhang impormasyon gamit ang mga Text at Email Blasts pati na rin ang mga Bulletin Boards sa loob ng Melchor Hall, Eng’g Complex, at Eng’g Lib upang masigurong walang Inhinyero ng Bayan ang mapag-iiwanan. Kasama niyo rin ang ESC Chatbot para sagutin ang inyong mga kagyat na tanong. Karagdagan pa rito, magkakaroon tayo ng Citizen’s Charter upang maipaabot ang mga importanteng links, serbisyo, at Directory Update sa Eng’g. Ilulunsad din natin ang GraduatEng’g upang ipakalat ang mga pubs at survey forms na mayroon kayo para sa inyong thesis. Bubuhayin din natin muli ang Impulse, ang premier student publication ng kolehiyo, upang malayang maipapahayag sa inyo ang mga balita at impormasyon sa loob at labas ng Engineering.
