Our Story

Docflorian Wellness Acupuncture Clinic was conceptualized by Dr. Edward N. Padilla as a means to continue quality medical and health services for people in need. He encourages only donation for his acupuncture and health care related services; part of the proceeds goes to the civic engagements and charity programs of Meraquay Home Philippines, Inc.

Dr. Edward Padilla who is an ob-gyne-perinatologist, was first introduced to TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) 30 years ago when he suffered knee effusion (fluid in the knee joint) and swelling, and was successfully treated with acupuncture. He has referred his infertility patients to his acupuncturist and has achieved fairly good results.

About five years ago he decided to study and learn TCM because he saw the need for an integrative and complementary approach to health care for the community. He has since then been attending numerous courses in acupuncture and TCM because, like a good Doctor of Western Medicine, he also found the need for continuous learning in the art and science of healing in the field of acupuncture and TCM.
