As Pride Month draws to a close, we are reminded that while visibility and celebration matter, so does the ongoing work of creating safer spaces for LGBTQ+ youth.
The Trevor Project's 2024 study on LGBTQ+ young people in the Philippines revealed that 1 in 3 seriously considered su***de in the past year, and nearly half reported symptoms of depression. Many face daily challenges like discrimination, bullying, and lack of access to affirming mental health care.

Pride is not just about celebration. It's also a call to action. These young people deserve more than tolerance. They deserve safety, love, and a future.

The 2024 Philippines National Survey on the Mental Health of LGBTQ+ Young People is the first country-wide survey to focus on LGBTQ+ young people and individual and socioeconomic factors that influence their mental health.
