We need to talk about whatโs happening on Meta.
Over the past few weeks, many creators and small businesses โ especially those with heartfelt, personal pages โ have been affected by sudden account takedowns across Instagram and Facebook.
Unfortunately, weโve been hit too.
A wholesome pet account connected to our GAYA admin was permanently banned by Instagram without warning โ no violation explained, no real appeal process offered. Because of how Meta links accounts, this also temporarily affected access to our main business page.
Whatโs even more frustrating is the complete lack of human support from Meta. Everything is automated. There is no one to talk to, no way to explain, no one to help restore something that took years to build.
This isnโt just about one account. Itโs a larger issue of digital vulnerability โ where meaningful content and small businesses can be erased overnight by a system that doesnโt even let you speak.
Weโre sharing this not to complain, but to raise awareness:

Diversify your platforms โ donโt put everything in one place
GAYA continues to operate and serve you โ but we stand in solidarity with those affected, and we hope Meta hears this.
