The department takes morale and welfare of our staff seriously that we had a mini team building last October 29, 2025 organized by our Occupational Therapy section. The candle making event took all the stress away, while providing a creative and learning avenue for the team.

PHYSIATRY IN MOTION!

Physiatry [fizz-ee-AT-tree or fuh-ZIGH-uh-tree], also known as Rehabilitation Medicine.

Rehabilitation is taken from the Latin word “habil”, which means to “make able again”. Termed also as Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, it is a branch of medicine that aims to enhance, restore, and optimize functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments and disabilities.

A doctor of medicine specializing in Rehabilitation Medicine is called a Physiatrist [fizz-ee-AT-trist or fuh-ZIGH-uh-trist].

Under Presidential Proclamation No. 1017, series 2020, stand proud as we celebrate National Physiatry Day on July 17!
