Some days, it’s not the flare-ups or the pain that cut the deepest…
It’s the words thrown so casually:
“Normal ka naman ah.”
“Ang taba mo ngayon.”
What hurts more is hearing them from the people you expect to understand.
Because what they don’t see are the battles fought in silence—
the fatigue, muscle aches, dryness, endless checkups, medications, and the emotional weight of carrying an illness that’s invisible to most.
Not all wounds are visible.
But God sees every struggle, even the ones hidden behind a brave smile.
And in every breakdown, every prayer whispered between tears, He remains my strength.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
Let’s choose kinder words.
Let’s learn to pause, understand, and remember that everyone is fighting something unseen.
To my fellow Sjögren’s warriors:
Keep the faith. Keep fighting.
You are seen, valued, and deeply loved by God. 💙
