Kami ay taos-pusong nagpapasalamat sa mga bumuo ng Anti-Sexual Harassment (ASH) Orientation para sa mga empleyado ng UP Health Service (UPHS) noong Hulyo 7 at 14, 2025.

Ito ay naging matagumpay sa tulong ng mga eksperto mula sa UP Diliman Office of Anti-Sexual Harassment (OASH), gayundin ng mga punong tagapangasiwa na sina Nurse Grace Santos, Dr. Hector Dionisio, Dr. Regina Umali, at lahat ng mga miyembro ng UPHS Gender and ASH Committee. Ang tagumpay na ito ay dulot rin ng buong suporta ng aming Officer-in-Charge na si Dr. Oliva Salvador-Basuel, at pakikiisa ng mga empleyado ng UPHS sa dinaos na oryentasyon.

Ang ASH Orientation ay isa sa mga nakaplanong pagsasanay para sa mga empleyado ng UPHS sa taong ito, upang mapanatiling ligtas ang mga pasyente at empleyado ng ospital, at masigurong maayos ang daloy ng serbisyo.

Tingnan: Nagkaroon ng Disaster Preparedness and Basic Life Support Seminar-Workshop ang mga empleyado ng UP Health Service (UPHS) noong 5 Hulyo 2025 (Sabado), sa pangunguna ng UPHS Nursing Section. Ito ay upang hasain at pag-ibayuhin ang kanilang kahandaan at kasanayan sa pagbibigay ng paunang lunas sa mga biktima ng sakuna, gaya ng lindol at sunog.

In celebration of Nutrition Month, the Staff Training and Development Committee, in partnership with the Health and Wellness Committee, invites you to the second session of our LibTalks Public Forum and Training Series titled Nourish to Flourish: Linking Nutrition and Wellness on Monday, 07 July 2025, 1:00 - 5:00 PM at the Conference Room, Environmental and Energy Engineering Bldg.

This hybrid lecture will feature Mx. Marife Sevilla, RND, Chief of the Dietary Section, University Health Service, as our resource speaker. This lecture aims to promote a deeper understanding of the relationship between nutrition and overall well-being, equipping participants with evidence-based knowledge and practical tools to make healthier dietary and lifestyle choices.

This July, the DOST-Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DOST-FNRI) joins the nation in celebrating the ๐—ก๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ก๐˜‚๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐— ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜๐—ต!

This yearโ€™s theme, โ€œSa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahatโ€ and sub-theme โ€œFood and Nutrition Security, Maging Priority, Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natinโ€, calls for collective action toward ensuring adequate nutrition for all. The DOST-FNRI contributes to this celebration by highlighting โ€œFood Security for a Well-Nourished Countryโ€ as the theme of its 51st DOST-FNRI Seminar Series.

With this shared vision, we emphasize the vital role of science, research, and innovation in making nutritious food and demand-driven services accessible and affordable to stakeholders.

Thus, the FNRI continues to promote practical and science-based guidance through the 2012 Nutritional Guidelines for Filipinos (NGF), which enjoins us to:

โ€ข Eat a variety of foods every day to get the nutrients needed by the body.
โ€ข Breastfeed infants exclusively from birth up to six months and continue with appropriate complementary feeding for two years and beyond.
โ€ข Eat more vegetables and fruits to get essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber.
โ€ข Consume fish, lean meat, poultry, eggs, dried beans, or nuts daily for growth and repair.
โ€ข Include milk, milk products, and other calcium-rich foods such as small fish and shellfish for healthy bones and teeth.
โ€ข Consume safe food and water to prevent food- and water-borne diseases.
โ€ข Use iodized salt to prevent iodine deficiency.
โ€ข Limit intake of salty, fried, fatty, and sugar-rich foods to avoid cardiovascular diseases.
โ€ข Maintain a normal body weight through proper diet and regular physical activity.
โ€ข Be physically active, make healthy food choices, manage stress, avoid alcohol, and do not smoke to prevent lifestyle-related diseases.

Building on these basic nutrition concepts, we remain steadfast in our journey to make proper nutrition more attainable, in pursuit of a well-nourished nation.

Together, let us build a future where every family is nourished and every table is filled with safe, affordable, and nutritious meals.

To help supervisors cultivate holistic well-being, the UP System Supervisors Association (UPSSA) proudly presents its 2nd Learning & Development (L&D) Project for 2025, the BALANSENG BUHAY: Work-Life Balance & Leadership Brownbag Sessions.

This L&D project provides a platform for supervisors to gain insights on achieving work-life balance through expert knowledge and peer learning; explore different aspects of well-being, including physical, mental, social, and spiritual health; learn practical strategies for managing professional responsibilities while prioritizing personal well-being; and foster a culture of continuous learning, self-care, and leadership development within the UP community.
