Successful Graduation and Clinical Practicum – Master Tung Acupuncture Series

The Philippine Academy of Acupuncture Inc. extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Master Tung Acupuncture Series, conducted under the expert guidance of Dr. Webster Lim, concluded successfully with a comprehensive clinical practicum and graduation of Batch 2 with 32 students on July 7, 2025.

We recognized the special participation of Atty. Keenth N. Almeñe, PITAHC Division Chief IV and Dr. Olympia Panotes, Master Tung Batch 1 graduate, who have inspired the audience to learn more.

This intensive and integrative series ran across 15 Mondays from November 2024 to June 2025.

The program covered foundational and advanced aspects of Master Tung’s acupuncture, including:

The 9 classic needles

Tung's theoretical frameworks

Detailed study of Zones 1 through 10

Bloodletting concepts (Parts 1 & 2)

Diagnostic principles

Dynamic and vascular tissue zones (DT and VT)

Therapeutic formularies

Each session integrated lectures, discussions, and demonstrations to ensure depth of understanding. Students engaged in diagnostic pattern recognition, point selection, and treatment strategies.

The clinical practicum held at the PAAI Free Clinic served as the culminating experience. Patients reported high satisfaction and improvement.

The Philippine Academy of Acupuncture, Inc. (PAAI) is thankful for the lecture entitled Acupuncture and Holistic Treatments for Depression and Anxiety by Dr. Randy Dellosa, CMA last June 28, 2025 via face-to-face and zoom.

The session centered on holistic approaches to mental health, with a focus on treating depression and anxiety. Dr. Randy Dellosa discussed the integration of traditional medicine with alternative therapies such as acupuncture, energy healing, and natural remedies. Participants explored the use of acupressure points, lifestyle practices, and physical exercises to support emotional well-being.

The meeting also included live demonstrations of healing techniques and practical advice on protecting practitioners from negative energy.

All of the face to face attendees have experienced the healing approaches of Dr. Dellosa which made the event extra special.

On June 20, 2025, the Philippine Academy of Acupuncture, Inc. (PAAI) actively participated in the 37th Anniversary celebration of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) held at the CHR Central Office, Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City led by Dr. Webster Lim, PAAI President and Dr. Romeo Gavino.

Gratitude to all the volunteer practitioners specially to Dr. Alfonso Lagaya, former PAAI VP & 1st PITAHC DG and Dr. Benjamin Villamayor for their participation.

In partnership with the Philippine Institute of Traditional and Alternative Health Care (PITAHC), PAAI provided free acupuncture consultations and wellness services during the event. The initiative aimed to promote preventive and holistic care, raise public awareness, and highlight the value of traditional and integrative health practices.

The participation of PAAI was well-received and significantly contributed to the event’s advocacy of making traditional health care more accessible to the public.
