The Philippine Academy of Acupuncture Inc. - PAAI successfully held its hybrid grand finale lecture on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, entitled βThe Use of Acupuncture for Simple Self-Defense,β with Dr. Samuel P. Dizon, MD, DMAM, as the distinguished resource speaker.
We were honored by the presence of BOT Chairman Dr. Tan Cho Chiong, Education Head Dr. Hector Dela Cruz, Auditor Dr. Romeo Gavino, and former PAAI Vice President Dr. Alfonso Lagaya. Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to Ms. Joanna Marie Umali for her excellent moderation and to Mr. Paul John Nara for providing technical support.
Dr. Dizon shared valuable insights on the practical application of acupuncture points in enhancing awareness, building confidence, and applying basic techniques for self-protection. The session emphasized how traditional acupuncture knowledge can extend beyond health and wellness, offering relevance in promoting personal safety in daily life.
