Lavender EO cultivated in Morocco (31.8% linalyl acetate, 16.6% linalool) exhibited strong antioxidant activity in the DPPH, ABTS, and FRAP assays. The EO significantly inhibited alpha-amylase and alpha-glucosidase, suggesting it can balance blood sugar by reducing the breakdown of carbs into sugar. Lavender EO also inhibited tyrosinase (skin brightening) and AChE (neuroprotective). Lastly, the oil also showed potent antibacterial effects against gram-positive bacteria.
