You’ve heard of the many benefits of Yoga to the body and mind. Still, many of you can’t seem to start a Yoga practice.

This nine-day course will enable you to practice Yoga no matter your body size, physical conditioning, or age. Our training methodologies include 1) brief discussions on selected Yoga concepts, traditions, and relevant anatomical references; 2) intensive “holding hand” type of workshops on 60+ asanas (poses); 3) rigorous practice of asanas arranged in sequences as you progress in this course.

I’ve been wanting to adapt Yoga postures to the exercise ball (also known as Swiss Ball). Today, I tested it. Both Yoga and ball workout tone muscles. By rolling in and out of the asanas, I can work more on my muscles and target them from different angles while entering the poses. I can change the intensity of the pose, from high to low, by modifying my body’s position on the ball.

I did some classical Yoga poses with the exercise ball and I discovered that it is an excellent tool to strengthen the core musculature. While moving through or merely staying on asanas on the ball, it served as my feedback to stabilize my body in order to keep me from falling off the ball, which happened to me many times.

The exercise ball will be incorporated soon in the Yoga and Mat Pilates classes at Yoga Is For Everyone at Celebrity Club.

After a successful run last August, the Arm Balancing Workshop of Yoga Is For Everyone will be held again in October. This time, there’ll be two 2-day workshops.

Nail more than a dozen arm balance poses. Learn to flow from one arm balance pose to another. Let our arm balance instructors, Tina & Manny, enable you to lift yourself up and, even flow, without the need for more strength and flexibility. You are enough and have the tools to launch yourself. All you need is the right techniques, mechanics, leverage, and focus.

STICK YOGA

I finally got myself a 6-foot, 1-inch diameter rattan stick after a long search. I used the stick for leverage, support, and balance in practicing asanas. This is called Stick Yoga, which covers stretching techniques that integrates aspects of Yoga, Tai Chi, and martial arts.

This morning, I practiced Stick Yoga on a number of iconic poses like Pyramid, Hip Hinge, Warrior 2, Side Angle, and Triangle. It helped me stretch and workout the anterior and posterior chains of my muscles for better alignment of poses. With the stick, I experienced a deeper and effective stretch for my shoulders, torso, and hips. I also discovered a new way to efficiently stimulate the energy flow in my whole body.

NOTES ON CLASSES:

1. TRX Yoga+. A workout fusing the mind-body connection of Yoga and the science of suspension training, enabling practitioners to access challenging Yoga poses.
2. Aerial Arts. Fitness routines performed with aerial devices−Hammock, Silk, and Hoop−anchored to a single point with a 360° rotation.
3.cHatha-Vinyasa Yoga. A hybrid of the slow-paced movement and longer held poses of Hatha Yoga and the faster pace and breath control of Vinyasa Yoga.
4. Evening Yoga. An energizing but gentle Yoga flow to wind down your busy day.
5. Vinyasa Yoga, A Yoga style where poses are linked with the breath in flowing sequences.
6. Mat or Air Pilates. A mobility form of exercise focusing on your core muscles while also training the arms and legs. It is also practiced with the free swinging of aerial hammocks while performing Pilates exercises.
7. Power Yoga. A variant of Vinyasa Yoga focused on building strength and endurance.
8. Weekend Yoga. A beginner level Yoga classes for busy people, held on weekends.
9. Chair Yoga. A gentle form of Yoga performed while seated or using a chair for balance and better accessibility.
10. Aerial Yoga−Beginner Level. A fitness routine using a 2-point anchored aerial hammock where Yoga poses are performed.
11. Yin or Restorative Yoga. A contemplative practice, it targets deep connective tissues like fascia, ligaments, and joints.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
1. Non-Members of Celebrity Club are welcome to practice at Yoga Is For Everyone.
2. Get a confirmed reservation to join the Evening Yoga, Weekend Yoga, Aerial Yoga, and Aerial Arts classes. These classes will only proceed if there are at least 2 or more confirmed reservations; otherwise, said classes will be cancelled.
3. Mats and other Yoga props are provided to students during the classes at no additional cost.
4. Individual or group private classes are also available for Yoga and Pilates on the Mat, Aerial Yoga, and Aerial Arts. Call or message via Viber for reservation and scheduling.
