🌿 Health Advisory: Dengue Awareness 🌿
STOP THOSE MOSQUITOES FROM BITING YOU NOW!

We’d like to take a moment to remind everyone to stay vigilant about the recent increase in dengue cases in the area. While the situation is being actively monitored by health authorities, it’s important to take simple steps to protect yourselves and our bulilit and teen health workers.

Here are a few helpful tips to prevent the spread of dengue:
1. Avoid Mosquito Bites: by wearing long pants, socks and use mosquito repellent, especially during peak mosquito activity times (dawn and dusk).
2. Remember to reapply repellent. Lotion, spray, stickers!
3. Stay Informed: Pay attention to local health updates.

Your health and safety are our priority. We encourage you to follow these preventive measures to help keep everyone safe.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation.

In 2023, an estimated 4.5 million women in the Philippines have been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. It is a common hormonal condition that affects women of reproductive age and it usually starts during adolescence, but symptoms may fluctuate over time. It can cause hormonal imbalances, irregular periods, excess androgen levels that can cause hormonal acne and multiple cysts in the ovaries.
Kaya nga its important even for young girls to consult their doctors once they start experiencing irregular periods coupled with frequent break outs.

Empowering Women

I know that there are so many sites available in the web that talk about women’s health and other concerns. So what makes this site different? I write about specific health issues that affect women in general in the context of my practice as an Obstetrician Gynecologist -- someone who specializes in women’s health. Who better equipped and able to talk about these important issues than the OB GYN, right? Moreover, I try my best to make it as simple as possible, minus all the medical jargons so you can dive right in and understand. I also give daily points to ponder on. I usually share thoughts that have been helpful to me at some point and hopefully, they become pearls for you too. I believe that if we are equipped with the “right facts”, we can understand our bodies better, work better with our doctors and strive more to be healthier and as a result, have a better and more meaningful life .... at peace with ourselves, in touch with those around us and holding on to God’s promise of a beautiful life.

So come join me in my journey and lets make life more colorful.
