Gestational Hypertension 🤰🧐🩺👇👇👇

Gestational hypertension is high blood pressure that:
• Develops after 20 weeks of pregnancy
• Occurs in a previously normotensive woman
• Has no proteinuria or signs of organ damage
• Usually resolves within 12 weeks postpartum

📌Diagnostic Criteria
• Blood pressure ≥ 140/90 mmHg
• On two occasions, at least 4 hours apart
• After 20 weeks gestation
• No protein in urine

📌Causes / Risk Factors
• First pregnancy
• Multiple pregnancy (twins)
• Maternal age 35
• Obesity
• History of hypertension
• Family history of hypertension or preeclampsia
