We are highly imbued with a desire to help in order to provide responsive, patient-centered and fundamental quality healthcare. In doing so,this has immensely inspired and touched the “Pusong Pilipino” of many soldiers and their families who holistically necessitates and fosters healing for them to move on to their everyday lives. As the old adage says, “A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal”

September 28 is World Rabies Day, a global health observance started in 2007 to raise awareness about the world’s deadliest infectious disease and bring together partners to enhance prevention and control efforts worldwide.

While rabies is a 100% preventable disease, nearly 60,000 people die from the disease around the world each year. World Rabies Day is an opportunity to reflect on our efforts to control this deadly disease and remind ourselves that the fight against rabies is not yet over.

Kuta Major Cesar L Sang-an Station Hospital celebrates the Generics Awareness Month this September where it promotes the Republic Act No. 6675 or the Generics Act of 1988, which mandates to ensure that affordable and effective drugs are made available to all Filipinos. While this observance is seemingly for informational or awareness purposes only, the Cheaper Medicines Act of 2008 amended parts of the Generics Act and has now required pharmaceutical companies to produce, distribute, and make widely available generic drugs.
