I do believe that those candidates who are running for the position of SK leader must also have qualifications. It doesn’t matter if you’re not that clever; as long as you know how to handle your subordinate, you’ll be qualified. It’s not about being intelligent, but being benevolent, which will definitely help your vassal be productive.
Intellectually speaking, there are some matters you should know before planning to run for any position in SK:
1.) 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫
This one really matters, especially if you’re the SK Chairman. How can you make an event if you don’t even know how to write a formal letter to premeditate events? Even when requesting funds from high positions, you have to make a formal letter as a way of showing formality.
2.) 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞, 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
Having knowledge pertaining to these matters could be useful. If you aim to be a SK leader, you should think that these matters can help you govern the Kabataan. You don’t have to be intelligent, but just having the characteristics to be a leader is adequate.
3.) 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬
Also, you should consider this matter. Preparing budgetary plans and reports needs the knowledge of the SK leaders. It’s not just about implementing the events immediately; it has a process for you to budget it precisely. Like in making budgetary plans for events, you should consider how much you’ll spend on them; also, in making reports or documentation, you should have this at every event or gathering.
4.) 𝐀 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞
This really helps if you know how to handle the things that bother you, like stress and pressure. It’s inevitable for the leaders to be pressured and stressed, so they need to overcome the obstacles. You must always have a solution to every hindrance you might face. As a leader, you don’t need to show your exhaustion to Kabataan, but always show happiness and bravery despite the hard moments you experience.
5.) 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
This one is the most important among all qualifications. Interacting with others really matters. As a leader, you should be multitasking when governing your kabataan. You should have better communication so that you can interact with each other comfortably and conveniently.
Finally, I’m done imparting some qualifications that you really need to have if you’re aiming to run for the position of SK Chairman, even for the SK Kagawad.
