𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘇 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆

The Health Centrum Hospital recently performed the first Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion (TLIF) procedure in Capiz, introducing a new spinal surgery technique to the province.

TLIF is a surgical procedure that joins two vertebrae in the lower back to stabilize the spine and relieve pain caused by conditions such as degenerative disc disease and spinal instability.

The operation was led by Dr. Gilbert Paul Distura, with Dr. Jaime Loise Opinion as part of the surgical team, Dr. Ma. Lucresia as anesthesiologist, and Dr. Julius Arches providing assistance.

Furthermore, THCH stated that the successful procedure expands the range of available surgical services in Capiz and supports ongoing efforts to improve access to specialized care in the region.
