๐Ÿ”ต D โ€“ Develop Life Skills
๐Ÿ”ด A โ€“ Act Responsibly

During the BADANG Kabataan Camp held last May 15โ€“17, participants joined the global observance of the International AIDS Candlelight Commemoration. With candles lit in unity, the youth honored lives lost, celebrated resilience and renewed their commitment to awareness and compassion.

Dr. Ziprene Buyagan delivered an inspiring message, reminding everyone that hope, solidarity and education are powerful tools in breaking stigma and building healthier communities. Her words encouraged participants to carry forward the light of remembrance with action, advocacy and compassion.

The program was meaningfully closed by Vice Mayor Buyagan, who emphasized the importance of sustaining youth involvement and community partnerships in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

Together, we keep the flame alive, honoring the past, empowering the present and protecting the future. ๐Ÿ’–

Empowering our local workforce through health education!

In observance of the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, an HIV and Tuberculosis awareness session was held on May 8, 2026, in Fidelisan, Sagada, Mountain Province.

This session targeted tourist guides and
miners, two essential groups whose professional environments can increase vulnerability to communicable diseases.By providing accurate health information and accessible services, the program aimed to empower the workforce and improve community health outcomes. This effort aligns with national priorities for infectious disease control and fosters a healthier, more resilient local community.

Special thanks:
-to the Barangay LGU for warmly participating and hosting the venue
-to the Municipal LGU for their support in making this activity possible.
- to the tourist guides, miners, and community members for your courage to learn

stigma now
to know your status

Every single drop of blood donated is a second chance at life for someone in need. ๐Ÿฉธโœจ

We are deeply moved by the incredible turnout at Barangay Demang during our May 6 Health Outreach. Together with the Luis Hora Regional Memorial Hospital (LHRMH), the Sagada MHO team witnessed true community heroism. What we achieved together: 20 Blood Donors became lifesavers, securing a future for up to 60 patients. 26 Residents took charge of their well-being through professional medical check-ups.
To our donors: your selfless choice to give a part of yourself to a stranger is the purest definition of bayanihan.
Thank you for making our community safer and stronger.
