As of the latest monitoring by the Sagay City Primary Care Facility, 𝙖 𝙩𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙛 22 𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙚𝙨 have been recorded in Sagay City for January–March 2026, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬 (𝟎 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐞).

As of September 15, 2025

The City Health Office continues to closely monitor dengue cases in our community. Let us all remain proactive in protecting our families and neighborhoods. 💪🦟

✅ Practice the 5S Strategy Against Dengue:
1️⃣ Search and destroy mosquito breeding sites.
2️⃣ Self-protection measures like using mosquito nets and repellents.
3️⃣ Seek early consultation at the nearest health facility when fever persists.
4️⃣ Support fogging/spraying only in hotspot areas.
5️⃣ Sustain hydration and healthy habits to boost resistance.

Together, we can fight dengue and keep Sagay safe! 🌿✨

Sagay City ranks 24th in Negros Occidental out of 31 cities/municipalities.

📊 The City Health Office continues to monitor dengue cases in our community. Let us remain vigilant and strengthen our preventive measures.

As of April 2025, a total of 31 dengue cases have been recorded across various barangays in Sagay City, with no reported deaths. Let's continue working together to keep our communities safe!

Poblacion I – 7 cases

Paraiso – 4 cases

Old Sagay – 4 cases

𝐸𝓃𝓉𝑜𝓂𝑜𝓁𝑜𝑔𝒾𝒸𝒶𝓁 𝒮𝓊𝓇𝓋𝑒𝒾𝓁𝓁𝒶𝓃𝒸𝑒 𝒯𝓇𝒶𝒾𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑔 – 𝒟𝒶𝓎 𝟤

Participants analyzed key dengue risk indicators based on entomological indices: House Index (HI), Breteau Index (BI), and Pupal Productivity Index (PPI). Results revealed alarmingly high values—HI at 67%, BI at 80%, and PPI at 11%—𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙚 𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙠 𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙖.

It is recommended to implement the 5S strategy: Search and destroy mosquito breeding sites, promote Self-protection measures like using repellents and protective clothing, Seek early consultation for any suspected dengue symptoms, Say yes to fogging in outbreak areas to reduce adult mosquito population, and Sustain hydration and healthy practices to strengthen immunity. These actions must be supported by continuous community engagement, intensified IEC campaigns, and close collaboration with local authorities to ensure effective dengue prevention and control.

Visited the site to evaluate the dengue situation near Sagay Central Incorporated. A big thank you to SCI for their cooperation in allowing our Disease Surveillance and Sanitary Inspector teams to conduct important inspections in the area. Together, we can strive for a healthier community.
