🌿 1st PuroKalusugan in Palawig, San Andres, Catanduanes 2026!🌿

The Rural Health Unit of San Andres, Catanduanes successfully conducted its 1st PuroKalusugan in Barangay Palawig on January 8, 2025, marking a meaningful step toward stronger, community-centered health care delivery.

From initially covering 3 barangays, PuroKalusugan has now expanded to 15 barangays, bringing essential health services closer to more families and ensuring equitable access to primary and preventive care.

During the activity, the following services were provided:
🩺 Medical Consultation – for assessment, early diagnosis, and appropriate management
🤰 Maternal Care Services – to support safe pregnancy and maternal health
💉 Immunization – to protect against vaccine-preventable diseases
🧠 Mental Health Services – including screening and counseling.
📚 NCD IEC (Non-Communicable Diseases Information, Education, and Communication) – health education on the prevention and management of hypertension, diabetes, and other lifestyle-related diseases

This initiative underscores the importance of holistic and preventive health care, addressing both physical and mental well-being while empowering communities through health education.

The success of this activity was made possible through the dedication of our health workers, the support of barangay officials, and the active participation of the people of Palawig.

Together, we continue to build a healthier, informed, and more resilient San Andres. 💚

Sa mga lumulusong o lumusong sa baha, may sugat man o wala, MAHALAGA na magpunta agad sa RHU San Andres upang magpakonsulta at mabigyan ng prophylaxis laban sa leptospirosis, kung kinakailangan.

🦠 Ang leptospirosis ay maaaring makuha sa paglusong sa baha na may kontaminasyon ng ihi ng daga, kahit walang nakikitang sugat sa balat.

⏰ Huwag maghintay ng sintomas tulad ng:
• Lagnat
• Pananakit ng ulo at katawan
• Pamumula ng mata
• Pagsusuka o pagtatae

📍 Pumunta agad sa RHU San Andres para sa tamang payo, pagsusuri, at gamot.

✅ Mas mabuti ang maagap kaysa magsisi.
