Ang National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) ug ang opisina sa MSWD nagpahibayo na jaoy pagahimoon na payout para sa mga Octogenarian (80 ug 85 years old) ug Nonagenarian (90 ug 95 years old) sa kantidad na Php 10,000.00 karong December 18, 2025 sa ika 9:00 ng buntag sa opisina ng MSWD San Benito.
Ania ang mga requirements na dayhon sa pagclaim ng cash grant ug asa ubos ang lista sa mga ngayan sa grantees:

Para sa Personal na moclaim:
1. Original ug 1 Xerox copy ng Senior Citizen ID

Para sa dili makapersonal o Authorized Representative:
1. Original ug 1 xerox copy ng government issued ID sa Authorized Representative.
2. Original ug 1 Xerox copy ng Senior Citizen ID ng grantee
3. Original authorization letter na diri sa MSWD Office kuhaon before sa petsa ng payout.
4. Medical Certificate (kung na-admit ang grantee) o Barangay Certification na nakabutang na bedridden na ang grantee ug pirmado sa BHW ug Brgy. Captain.
5. Recent Whole body picture na naggupot ng kalendaryo sa bulan ng november.

Para sa patay na:
1. Death Certificate ng grantee
2. Original ug 1 xerox copy ng valid ID sa moclaim.
3. Original ug Xerox copy na nagpamatood sa relasyon ng claimant sa grantee.
4. Warranty and Liability Form diri kuhaon sa MSWD Office.
5. Special Power of Attorney na nakapirma tanan bata ng napatay (kung daghan)

The Local Government Unit of San Benito acknowledges the invaluable assistance of our AFP personnel who willingly lent their time and strength during today’s arrival of food packs. Their hard work and support ensured the smooth and efficient unloading of the goods.

Today, our hearts are filled with warmth and deep respect as we celebrate the lives and milestones of our cherished Octogenarians and Nonagenarians here in San Benito, Surigao del Norte!

The air at the MSWD Office is vibrant with joy as the dedicated NCSC Staff spearheads the significant Cash Gift Distribution under the Expanded Centenarians Act (R.A. No. 11982). This financial support is a profound recognition of the invaluable contributions, wisdom, and resilience of our elderly throughout their long and fruitful years.

We were especially honored by the presence and warm welcome extended by our beloved Hon. Mayor Ma. Gina S. Menil. Her commitment and support for our senior citizens truly embody the spirit of Serbisyong Tapat (Sincere Service). Mayor Menil's presence highlights the LGU's deep-seated reverence for our elders, ensuring they receive the recognition and benefits they rightfully deserve at this wonderful stage of their lives.

The Local Government Unit of San Benito was honored during the Caraga Regional Excellence Awards held on November 7, 2025, in Butuan City, for its outstanding performance in upholding the principles of good governance.

The LGU proudly received the following awards:

HAPPENING NOW | 4th Quarter Social Pension Payout for Indigent Senior Citizens and Distribution of Cash Incentives for Nonagenarian (90 years old and up) of San Benito

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), in close coordination with the Municipal Treasury Office, is currently facilitating the 4th Quarter Social Pension Payout for indigent senior citizens of San Benito.

Each eligible beneficiary receives ₱3,000.00 as financial assistance from the government — a support designed to help our elders meet their essential needs such as food, medicine, and other daily necessities.

On this same day, senior citizens aged 90 years old and above also received ₱5,000.00 cash incentives under the LGU fund, as part of the continuing program support of our Honorable Mayor for the welfare of our elderly constituents.

This initiative underscores the continued commitment of both the national and local government to promote the welfare, dignity, and well-being of our senior citizens.

We express our sincere appreciation to the Municipal Treasury staff and RHU personnel for their steadfast dedication and cooperation in ensuring a safe, orderly, and transparent distribution process.

Above all, we pay tribute to our beloved senior citizens whose hard work, sacrifices, and legacy continue to inspire and strengthen our community today.

The Municipality of San Benito supports and celebrates the Elderly Filipino Week with the theme “Embracing Age: Living a life with Dignity and Purpose" this October 27, 2025 at the Municipal Gymnasium, Barangay Talisay.

The said celebration is supported by our very loving Mayor Gina Sumando Menil who’s compassionate and tirelessly supports our dear senior citizens of San Benito, ensuring the elders in their life to feel comfortable, loved, and dignified.
