Your pets' health and happiness are our top priorities! "Awesome Pets Deserve Pawsome Care" Exciomo was in grade 3, she had a dog named Wilkins. Wilkins was not only her pet, but also her best friend. She was helpless when he got sick and begged her father to bring him to a veterinary clinic for help. Unfortunately, during those days, there was no veterinary clinics available and Wilkins was on his very last breath. Due this painful childhood experience, Dra. Exciomo strive towards excellence to become a Licensed Veterinarian in college. With this promise to Wilkins during the final hours long ago, a personal accomplishment was fulfilled - Licensed Veterinarian. With compassion and love for all kind of animals, a dream of having her very own veterinary clinic was forseen. Pawsome Pets Veterinary Clinic & Supply was born. Pawsome Pets Veterinary Clinic & Supply was founded and opened on November 4th 2013 by Dra. Erwinia B. Mendoza-Exciomo and Dr. John Beverson DG. It started on a 4 by 7 meters stall with very few supplies and limited services due to small space. It was tough learning how to operate a business and coping with difficulties. The most difficult part of business was learning how to retain clients from going to their competitors. Due to lack of funds, hiring extra helping hands was out of the picture. However, because of a childhood promise to Wilkins to never give up providing for his furry friends, Dra. Exciomo remained strong and overcome all obstacles despite sleepless nights. On September 28th, 2015 - determination, dedication, and hard work – paid off; Pawsome Pets grew it's client-base of loyal customers and relocated to a much more spacious space down the street from the original location. Now, Dra. Exciomo and Dr. Exciomo offers more professional services – surgeries, grooming, pet training, and educational seminars - and different varies of high quality pets supplies – Pet toys, pet foods, pet accessories - and vaccinations to all animals – mainly dogs and cats. Have you ever noticed how your cat reacts to its bell?

🔔 For a cat wearing a bell for the first time, the experience can be especially stressful. What may seem like a small, cute accessory to us can actually be a constant source of discomfort to them.

Originally used in the Middle Ages to alert prey or monitor a cat’s movements, bells have stuck around more out of habit than necessity. 📜🐈

But cats have incredibly sensitive hearing — far more than humans — and the nonstop jingling near their ears can be overwhelming. This can lead to anxiety, irritability, and disrupt their natural hunting behavior. 😿💭
Imagine trying to sleep or explore with a noisy bell following you everywhere. 🛌🔊

We now understand more about what cats need to feel safe and at peace. That’s why it’s time to rethink the bell. 🧠❤️
Kindness means choosing their comfort over tradition.

However, if your cat has been wearing a bell for years and seems completely relaxed, it may have already adjusted. Still, it's worth considering a quieter or breakaway collar as a gentler alternative. 🐾💖

🚨 Blocked Cat Alert: Meet Simba 🐱
Simba, a handsome male cat, was brought in due to difficulty urinating — a serious and painful condition common in male cats called Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD) or urinary blockage.

To help him p*e, catheterization was done to relieve the blockage and prevent life-threatening complications like kidney failure or bladder rupture.

⛔️ If your male cat is straining to urinate, vocalizing in pain, or going in and out of the litter box without p*eing — that’s an emergency! Don’t wait.

Simba is now discharged and on the road to recovery. We're hoping for his fast healing and better days ahead! 🐾💙

🙏 Thank you to his furparent Ma'am Dana Marie Salo, for acting fast and giving Simba the care he needed.

Who else remembers "Buko"?

🐶 Buko: 10 Years After Being Abandoned, He’s Still Here. Still Loved. 💛

Ten years ago, a dog named Buko (not his real name, we changed his name after he was abandoned) was left behind.

At just 5 years old, he was brought to the clinic, confined for a few days... and then never picked up. His owner never came back. Just like that, Buko was abandoned — confused, heartbroken, but still full of quiet strength.

Instead of being forgotten, Buko found a new family among the very people who refused to give up on him — our clinic team. They gave him not just a roof, food, and care… but genuine love. For a decade, he’s stayed by our side, greeting us with his calm eyes and gentle spirit.

Buko is now 15 years old at the present year. A true survivor. Slower now, a little greyer, but still wagging his tail and warming hearts.

He’s a daily reminder that every life left behind still deserves a second chance — and that love, even the kind that comes late, can still make a lifetime of difference. 🐾

🩺💙 Because We Care for Our Team, Too!

Good health starts from within — and that includes our amazing team.
That’s why we regularly check their blood pressure and blood sugar to help them stay on track with their wellness.

Because let’s face it — how can we care for pets if we don’t take care of the hoomans behind the scenes? 🐶🐾

A little monitoring goes a long way in preventing serious conditions and creating a healthier, happier workplace for everyone.
Plus, it’s our subtle way of saying: “Walang tatakas sa BP check!” 😅

To our awesome team — thank you for your hard work, love, and dedication. Your health matters to us, too! 💪🩸❤️

Special shoutout to Ms. Trixie Mae Manalo — our ever-reliable Nursing Aide/Secretary (and soon-to-be Mrs. Cabuay 👰‍♀️💍). She patiently checks everyone’s BP… then checks her own last (habang praying na normal pa rin 😅💕).

(Sayang, hindi lahat na-piktyuran! Next time, pati result . 😅📸✌️)

Opo, hindi lang SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, at 13th month pay ang meron sila — may BP apparatus at sugar test kit din always ready for them!
Parang mini pop quiz every time: “Pa*ok ba sa normal range?” 📋✅

✂️ Grooming Isn’t Always as Easy as It Looks! 🐾

This adorable furball came in after a grooming accident at home — and it’s a reminder for all pet parents out there.

Due to a busy schedule, the owners tried to groom him themselves. But as accidents often happen when we least expect it, things didn’t go as planned. 💔

DIY grooming may seem simple, but it can be risky, especially with heavy matting. When mats are too thick, it becomes hard to see where the coat ends and the skin begins. Sadly, this pup ended up with a cut during the session.

Thankfully, the injury wasn’t deep and didn’t hit any major blood vessels — but it could have been much worse.

👉 If your dog has severe mats or tangles, please don’t risk it. Leave it to the professionals who are trained to safely remove matted hair without harming your pet.

Your fur babies deserve gentle, expert care — and so does your peace of mind. 💕

🌧️🐾 Rainy Sea*on Pet Care Tips for Your Dogs and Cats! 🐶🐱

Rainy days are here again! While we love the cool breeze and cozy vibes, the wet sea*on can be a challenge for our furry friends. Keep them safe and healthy with these simple tips:

☔ 1. Keep Them Dry
Always dry your pets with a clean towel after they get wet. Wet fur can lead to colds, fungal infections, or even skin irritation.

🐾 2. Clean Their Paws
Puddles and mud can carry bacteria and parasites. Wipe their paws with a damp cloth or pet-safe wipes after each walk.

🦟 3. Watch Out for Ticks and Fleas
Moist environments are breeding grounds for parasites. Regularly check their fur and keep their anti-tick and flea protection up-to-date.

🏠 4. Provide a Cozy Shelter
Make sure they have a warm, dry, and clean area to stay indoors—away from damp or drafty spots.

🍲 5. Boost Their Immunity
A well-balanced diet and regular vet checkups and vaccination update can help strengthen their immune system during this sea*on.

⚠️ 6. Be Cautious of Leptospirosis
Standing water is a risk for this bacterial disease, especially for dogs. Avoid walks through floodwater or puddles, and consider vaccination if recommended by your vet.

🐶🐱 Keep them warm, dry, and loved — and rainy days will be nothing but snuggles and tail wags! 💕🌧️
