The Civil Service Commission โ Regional Office 1 (CSC RO 1) strongly warns the public of a text-and-call scheme of scammers posing as officials or personnel of CSC and fraudulently misrepresenting it.
It has come to the attention of this Office that unscrupulous individuals are pretending to be CSC officials or employees, who are threatening and/or harassing government employees with fabricated complaints or made-up administrative cases. The public is advised that this is a SCAM designed to obtain personal information, extort money, and/or steal from the victimโs personal account.
CSC RO 1 urges everyone to be cautious and vigilant against ploys of fraudsters and scammers. This Office reiterates that it will never send a text message nor call any government official, employee, or public officer to lead them to believe that there is a pending case against them.
