The SDO – City of San Fernando, Pampanga - School Health and Nutrition Unit proudly joins the Department of Education in celebrating Oplan Kalusugan sa DepEd (OKD) One Health Week 2025!

This annual celebration emphasizes the importance of the six flagship programs of OKD:
1. 🏥 Medical-Dental and Nursing Services (MDNS)
2. 🚰 Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in Schools (WinS) Program
3. 🍎 School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP)
4. 👩‍⚕️ Adolescent Reproductive Health Program (ARHP)
5. 🚭 National Drug Education Program (NDEP)
6. 🧠 School Mental Health Program (SMHP)

In partnership with selected schools, and key stakeholders—and in accordance with DepEd Order No. 28, s. 2018 and SDM No. 339, s. 2025—we successfully conducted the following activities:
✅ July 7, 2025 – OKD One Health Week Kick-Off during the Division Office Flag Ceremony
✅ Health assessment and screening for Kinder learners at Dela Paz Sur Elementary School
✅ Handwashing and toothbrushing drills for Grade 3 learners at San Fernando Elementary School
✅ Awareness campaigns on NDEP, SMHP, and ARHP for Grade 9 and 11 learners at Telabastagan Integrated School
✅ Health Caravan: 2025 Usapang Kalusugan for Grades 4 to 10 at San Pedro Integrated School

We stand by the World Health Organization’s definition of health as "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."

❕DOH: PANATILIHIN ANG KALINISAN SA MGA PAARALAN PARA MAIWASAN ANG HAWAHAN NG SAKIT, GAYA NG HAND FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE❕

Sa pagpapatuloy ng klase sa mga paaralan, paalala ng DOH na panatilihin ang kalinisan sa katawan at paligid, lalo na sa mga silid-aralan at lugar kung saan namamalagi ang mga bata.

Kahit pababa ang trend ng bilang ng mga kaso ng Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) mula Mayo 18-31, 2025 (1,964 cases) papuntang Hunyo 1-14, 2025 (1,363 cases), hindi dapat maging kampante dahil mabilis itong makahawa kung hindi mag-iingat.

Ang isang batang may HFMD ay maaaring makahawa ng higit sa 2 na ibang bata, at maari pa itong dumami kapag nasa closed spaces gaya ng bahay at eskwelahan.

🖐👣 Ang mga kadalasang sintomas ng HFMD ay:
📌 lagnat
📌 singaw sa bibig
📌 sakit sa lalamunan
📌 mga butlig sa palad, talampakan, o puwit

❗️Makaiiwas sa HFMD sa pamamagitan ng:

✅Paghuhugas ng kamay gamit ang sabon at malinis na tubig, o paggamit ng alcohol-based sanitizer
✅Pag-iwas sa paghawak sa mukha, lalo na sa mata, ilong, at bibig
✅Pagpapanatili ng kalinisan at pagdisinfect ng mga kagamitan

❗️FILARIASIS — ISA PANG SAKIT NA DALA NG LAMOK NGAYONG TAG-ULAN ❗️

💡 Bukod sa Aedes aegypti na nagdadala ng dengue, mabilis ding dumadami sa panahon ng tag-ulan ang mga lamok gaya ng Aedes spp., Anopheles spp., at Mansonia spp. na nagdadala ng Filariasis.

Ang lymphatic filariasis ay sakit na dulot ng mga microscopic na bulate na naipapasa mula sa kagat ng lamok. Kapag napabayaan, maaari itong magdulot ng kapansanan dahil sa permanenteng pamamaga ng iba’t ibang bahagi ng katawan.

Mga paraan para maiwasan ang Filariasis:

✅Gawin ang taob, taktak, tuyo, takip sa mga lalagyan para walang pamahayan ang lamok;

✅Magsuot ng pantalon at damit na may long sleeves; at

✅Gumamit ng mosquito repellent pag lalabas, at ng kulambo sa pagtulog

📍 Sa tulong ng mass drug administration, nakakamit ng mga probinsya ang Filariasis-free status.

Sundan ang mga hakbang kung paano i-access ang Drug Price Watch gamit ang eGovPH App.
Pwede mo nang mahanap ang presyo ng gamot na iyong kailangan pati na rin ang generic nito—mas makatitipid ng 90% dahil mas mababa ang presyo pero kasing-epektibo rin ng branded medicines.
Isinusulong ng Department of Health and pagtangkilik sa mga generic alinsunod sa mandato ng Universal Health Care Law na nagsusulong na mapatibay ang access ng mga Pilipino sa mura at dekalidad na gamot. Suportado rin ito ng Generics Act of 1988.
Paalala rin ng DOH na mahalagang sundin ang reseta ng doktor at regular na inumin ang mga maintenance medicines para maiwasan ang paglala ng kondisyon gaya ng hypertension at diabetes.

Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!"

Let's stand together to raise awareness, promote healthy food choices, and champion food and nutrition security for every Filipino—sa paaralan, sa trabaho, at sa bawat tahanan.
