The Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery successfully conducted the 5th In-House Temporal Bone Dissection Course last February 6–7, 2026.

The two-day course provided participants with hands-on experience in temporal bone anatomy and surgical landmarks, reinforcing essential skills in otologic surgery through guided dissection and close mentorship.

We thank our faculty, speakers, trainees, and organizers for their active participation and commitment to surgical education and excellence in ENT training.

In line with the celebration of Thyroid Awareness Month, the Department of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital conducted a Lay Forum at the ENT OPD, 4th Floor, last January 22, 2026. The activity aimed to raise awareness on thyroid disorders, their symptoms, prevention, and available treatment options among patients and hospital visitors.

One switch. New sound. New life.

On November 7, 2025, we witnessed more than just the first SWITCH ON: Cochlear Implant Event—we witnessed the beginning of a new sound-filled chapter in our patient’s life.

Held at the Dietary Conference Room in partnership with Gruppo Hearing, our department had the privilege of sharing the emotional moment when silence was replaced with sound, hope, and possibility.

This event was spearheaded by our Chairman and the Head of Neuro-otology, Dr. Ruben Emil D. Henson, together with Dr. Roannie Castañeda and Dr. Benedict P. Lagman, whose dedication continues to push forward the boundaries of hearing care in our institution.

- Otology and Audiology
- Rhinopharyngology, Allergy, and Sleep Surgery
- Laryngobronchoesophagology
- Head and Neck Surgery and Oncology
- Craniomaxillofacial and Facial Plastic Surgery
- 100% Passing Rate in the Diplomate Examinations
- Complete OPD equipment and OR instruments
