WASMI'S MAC OFFICER GRADUATES TASOBC

The Wallace Air Station Medical Infirmary (WASMI) congratulates its Medical Administrative Corps (MAC) Officer - First Lieutenant Nino-Mhar Malana MAC for having successfully completed the Technical and Administrative Service Officers' Basic Course (TASOBC) Class 46-2025 "MARAGTAS-TALA" - Mandirigmang Alay ay Giting at Tapat na Serbisyo tungo sa Iisang Layunin, ranking 11th out of 51 TAS Officers.

The class was composed of various TAS Officers including doctors, nurses, dentists, health-allied professionals, lawyers, priests, and a professor who underwent a rigorous training that honed not only their technical competencies but also instilled the values of discipline, leadership, and dedication to duty.

This milestone is not just a personal achievement, but also a commitment to serve with integrity, excellence, and professionalism in the specialized fields of the military service.

Congratulations once again, Sir! The WASMI family takes great pride in this remarkable achievement.

The Wallace Air Station Medical Infirmary (WASMI) is immensely proud! Our Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Wilfredo S. Abulencia Medical Corps, received the Outstanding Personnel Award for the second quarter of CY 2025. Brigadier General Ronie D. WASMI CONGRATULATES OUR NEWLY GRADUATED AIRWOMAN FROM THE BASIC MILITARY TRAINING

A huge congratulations to Airwoman Camille O. Manalo PAF, on completing Basic Military Training Class 2025 Alpha, "ARGENTUM – Aktibo at Responsableng Kapatiran, Gilas at Katangiang Espesyal, Nalipon para sa Tungkulin na Umagapay sa Mamamayang Pilipino," conducted at the Philippine Air Force Basic Military School, Air Education, Training and Doctrine Command from January 17 to May 21, 2025.

Hospital Visit of Command Surgeon, AIBDC to WASMI

Colonel Jonathan B. Rico, Medical Corps (General Staff Corps), Command Surgeon of the Air Installation and Base Development Command (AIBDC), conducted a vital two-day visit to the Wallace Air Station Medical Infirmary (WASMI) on April 28–29, 2025. He was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel Wilfredo S. Abulencia, Medical Corps, WASMI's Commanding Officer.

Colonel Rico's visit included courtesy calls to key leadership: Colonel Francis Karem Neri, Philippine Air Force, Deputy Wing Commander, and Colonel Jonathan J. Inocando, Philippine Air Force, Group Commander of the 585th Air Base Group.

During his visit, Lieutenant Colonel Abulencia provided Colonel Rico with a comprehensive briefing, highlighting WASMI's significant health accomplishments, personnel readiness, patient census data, and future plans, including the crucial pursuit of Department of Health accreditation.

Colonel Rico's visit served as a critical assessment of WASMI's operational effectiveness, pinpointing areas for improvement in healthcare delivery and ensuring seamless alignment with the AIBDC's broader medical strategic goals. The insights gained will directly shape future strategic planning and resource allocation, significantly enhancing WASMI's capabilities and its crucial role in supporting the health and well-being of all Air Force personnel.

WASMI PROVIDES HEALTH CONSULTATION IN THE BUREAU OF FIRE PROTECTION REGION 1 HEALTH AND SERVICE CARAVAN

The Wallace Air Station Medical Infirmary (WASMI) participated in the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 1's Health and Service Caravan on March 19, 2025, in Bahay na Bato, Barangay Nalvo Norte, Luna, La Union. This caravan was part of the nationwide Fire Prevention Month observance.

Lieutenant Colonel Wilfredo S. Abulencia, Medical Corps, Commanding Officer of WASMI, and other Armed Forces of the Philippines branches provided essential health consultations to the community, ensuring residents received necessary assessments and care.

WASMI SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK - SEMINAR ON FAMILY ENGAGEMENT AND MENTAL RESILIENCE

The Wallace Air Station Medical Infirmary (WASMI) conducted a seminar on Family Engagement and Mental Resilience to the personnel of the 580th Aircraft Control and Warning Wing (ACWW) on March 11, 2025 as part of their Family Readiness Support System (FRSS).

The purpose of this program is to significantly enhance the overall well-being of the personnel and to strengthen their mental resilience while fostering a supportive family environment.

On the latter part of the seminar, a special family engagement activity was conducted wherein each of the personnel wrote their problems on a small piece of paper and put them inside the balloon, popped them, and shared their thoughts to "pop away" their stress.

Through this significant effort of WASMI, the personnel of 580th ACWW alleviated their personal stresses and reduced the mental health stigma that will help in contributing to the personal and professional success of all the personnel within the unit.

WASMI CELEBRATES THE SUCCESSFUL GRADUATION OF OUR CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCE PERSONNEL

The Wallace Air Station Medical Infirmary (WASMI) Family congratulates Mr. Ralph Anthony A. Bawat Civilian HR on successfully completing the Human Resource Basic Course, Class 14, at the Philippine Air Force Civilian Human Resource School from February 5 to March 4, 2025.

This week highlights the power of collaboration and teamwork within Wallace Air Station Medical Infirmary (WASMI). Our successful coordination with the Department of Health hospitals for Mandatory Annual Physical Examinations, our seamless medical support during Taebo-takbo and Physical Fitness Tests, and our proactive securing of a purified anti-venom vaccine are testaments to our commitment to proactive healthcare.
