Philippine Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (PIMAM )Training 2026 Conducted Successfully!

The PIMAM Training was held on February 25–27, 2026 at North Poblacion, San Fernando, Cebu Multipurpose Hall,with participants from the Primary Care Facility (PHNs, NDP, and BNS).

This training reflects our continued commitment to improving nutrition services and ensuring better health outcomes for our community.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our speakers from the Department of Health (DOH):
Mary Antonette Louise T. Catan and Aichiel Basa,Nutritionist-Dietitian II, for sharing their expertise and strengthening our commitment to quality nutrition services.

👀LOOK : The Municipality of San Fernando, Cebu joins the nation in the Celebration of National Oral Health Month with the theme “Tara na! Cleaning at Fluoride, Sa’n ka pa?”

Malampusong gipahigayon sa San Fernando Primary Care Facility headed by Dr. Alfredo P. Manugas, VI uban sa San Fernando Central School headed by Ms. Florinda M. Soronio, EdD, Grade 3 students & teachers ang selebrasyon observed every February, in promoting the value of healthy teeth and gums as part of overall well-being.

Dr. Maria Viola Genebraldo (Municipal Dentist) highlights:

🦷 Why Dental Hygiene is important?

✅ prevents tooth decay and cavities
✅ avoids gum disease
✅ reduces bad breath
✅ builds confidence through a healthy smile
✅ supports overall health (poor oral health is linked to heart disease and diabetes)

🦷 Key Message:

✅ Brush your teeth at least twice a day
✅ Use fluoride toothpaste
✅ Floss daily
✅ Visit the dentist regularly
✅ Avoid sugary foods and drink

We wrapped up our Oral Health Month celebration with an exciting Kahoot Quiz Bee filled with fun, learning, and friendly competition! 🏆✨

Participants tested their knowledge on proper oral hygiene, cavity prevention, and healthy dental habits — proving that taking care of our smiles can be both educational and enjoyable.

Thank you to everyone who joined and made this celebration a success! Let’s continue to practice good oral hygiene every day because a healthy smile is a happy smile! 😁💙

Cervical Cancer is one of the leading cause of death among Filipino women.

In celebration of Cancer Awareness Month, Pitalo Barangay Health Station conducts 1st ever Free Papsmear screening to all eligible women, who are sexually active,pregnant women,multi gravida mother and women who had not undergone papsmesr procedure.

We would like to thank Barangay Captain and Councils who accomodate the event, RAFI who sponsored the program, Mam Grace Bayalas who conducts the procedures, BHWs who channels the activity to their respective households, fellow nurses and midwife who supports the activity and to 44 participants who joined this activity thank you so much for the succesful event. KUDOS to us 🎉🎉

Next stop: Barangay Tinubdan.
