The Department of Health - Central Luzon Center for Health Development (DOH-CLCHD) invites you to participate in the 2025 Training on Administering the Psychosocial Assessment Tool: DOH Means Testing.

This five-day capacity-building training aims to enhance the competencies of Medical Social Workers in assessing patient eligibility under the PhilHealth Point of Service (POS) program. The training will cover key methodologies in psychosocial assessment, proper patient classification, and strategies to ensure equitable access to healthcare services.

2024 November 11 DOH CLCHD Regional Director Corazon Flores led the turn over of two (2) ambulance units to Municipality of Bagac and Plaridel Municipal Health Center

Present also in the ceremony Health Facility Development Cluster Head, Dr. Madison Dominguez and Health Facility Enhancement Program Head, Engr. Shirley Salas.

The ambulances were gracely received by Plaridel Municipal Health Officer. Dr. Lilibeth Abella of Plaridel, Bulacan and Emily Perillo of Municipality of Bagac, Bataan

These ambulances will help ensure access to appropriate and timely health services for the people in the communities. This is another step towards the achievement of the goal of a β€œHealthy Pilipinas, bawat buhay mahalaga.”

2024 October 29-30 – The Central Luzon Center for Health Development - Health Facility Development Cluster (CLCHD-HFDC) conducted a two-day training program, Training on Enhancement and Development of Health Facilities (TED-HF), at Vista Tala Resort and Recreational Park in Orani, Bataan, aimed at enhancing healthcare facility management, sustainability, and safety protocols.

The event featured presentations from industry experts, including Mr. Michael Raymon M. Pangilinan on traditional Kapampangan architectural practices, Arch. Jelby M. Tiru on the Green Viability Assessment (GVA) status in Central Luzon, Ms. Girlie Pediglorio on Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA), and Ms. Jenerica M. Gomez on updates to the IHOMP Self-Assessment Tool (SAT).

On the second day, Engr. Emiraph Enriquez led discussions on the Water and Sanitation for Health Facility Improvement Tool (WASH-FIT). The program concluded with Dr. Madison Dominguez's call to action, encouraging participants to integrate sustainable and charitable initiatives in line with the National Day of Charity. The event reinforced the region’s commitment to sustainable healthcare facility practices and quality healthcare services.

🌿 Strengthening Our Commitment to Green Practices! 🌿

On October 8, 2024, the DOH Mega Drug Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation Center underwent a thorough validation process with the support of the Health Facility Development Cluster (HFDC) team. Together, they explored ways to enhance daily operations, focusing on the eight parameters of the Green Viability Assessment (GVA) Tool.

Accompanied by the Chief of Hospital and members of the Green Committee, the GSHF team conducted document reviews and on-site assessments to ensure the effective implementation of green practices within the facility.

Their dedication is a true testament to their commitment to creating a safe and sustainable environment for individuals in need of care. The willingness to enforce policies and improve operations, even in a specialized center for drug rehabilitation, highlights their exceptional efforts toward fostering awareness and implementing sustainable solutions.

🌱 Talavera General Hospital: A Commitment to Green Practices! 🌱

On October 9, 2024, the Health Facility Development Cluster (HFDC) team conducted a revalidation of the Green Viability Assessment (GVA) Tool at Talavera General Hospital. Their commitment to sustainability shines through their best practice of installing renewable energy sources, such as solar panels! β˜€οΈ

The HFDC team, alongside relevant officers from the Green Committee, reviewed existing policies and hospital orders connected to the Green and Safe Program. Through thorough document reviews and on-site validations, we highlighted the importance of the Sanitation Safety Plan and Water Safety Plan in promoting a healthier environment.

Talavera General Hospital's willingness to improve and their dedication to implementing green practices are commendable and truly exemplify their pledge to creating a safer, more sustainable health facility. Together, we can pave the way for a greener future! πŸŒπŸ’š
