Dear Valued patients,
Hope all is well. We decided to send an update to patients inquiring when we will resume treatments at Yap Dental Clinic.
We have been closed since March 17, 2020 and as of latest update in Pampanga, we are still in extended ECQ which means we are still in "high risk" status.
Dental clinics, as per Philippine Dental Association, have high risk of contamination to both patients and doctors due to close distance treatment, aerosol droplets coming from patient's saliva and need to follow protocols on sterilization and disinfection.
We are also abiding with both PDA and LGU advisory as to when we will be given a green light to reopen with set safety conditions to follow. The preparation to acquire protective gears and shield between patient and doctor are top priorities to mitigate the risk of contamination.
So in as much as we want to open and start treating patients, we are constraint to abide by the regulatory units directive.
We will advise you when the situation allows Dental Clinics to reopen.
We beg for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Dr. Marilyn Yap-Mallari
