Swimmer’s Ear: Protect Your Ears This Summer 🏊‍♂️

Swimmer’s ear (otitis externa) is an infection of the outer ear caused by trapped water that allows bacteria to grow.

How to avoid:
• Dry ears well after swimming
• Tilt head to remove trapped water
• Avoid inserting cotton buds or objects into the ear

✅Ang Functional Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) ay isang espesyal na procedure kung saan makikita at mapag-aralan ang procseso ng paglunok sa pamamagitan ng paggamit ng flexible nasolaryngoscope na ipapasok sa ilong upang maobserbahan ang pharynx and larynx habang ang pasyente ay lumulunok ng iba-ibang textures ng pagkain (liquid, semi-solid, solid).

✅Ang test na ito ay magbibigay ng agarang feedback sa safety at efficiency ng paglunok. Sa pamamagitan nito makakagawa tayo ng tailored na treatment plan para sa ating mga pasyente na may problema sa paglunok.

✅Mabebenepisyuhan nito ang mga pasyente nating post-stroke or may neurological disorder, o mga pasyenteng sumailalim sa operasyon sa head and neck.
