The EMPOWER (Empowering Medical Providers and Organizations With Education and Resources) Program successfully completed two batches of its 3-day capacity-building training for physicians and nurses from district hospitals in Pampanga.

📅 Batch 1: November 19–21, 2025
📅 Batch 2: November 26–28, 2025

The training covered essential, high-impact clinical topics to strengthen district hospital readiness and improve service delivery, including:

• Surgical and Orthopedic Emergencies
• Trauma are: Stabilization, Referral, and Decision-making
• Non-communicable Diseases (cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, hypertension, heart failure, dyslipidemia, and arrhythmias)
• ECG and Rhythm Interpretation, Cardiovascular Examination, and Echocardiography Basics
• Dengue Management for Adult and Pediatric Patients
• Toxicology and Management of Common Poisonings and Envenomations.

This program is a partnership of JBLMGH and the Provincial Health Office of Pampanga under a signed Memorandum of Understanding, supporting the strengthening of the Pampanga Health Care Provider Network (HCPN) through continuous capacity building.

Better-equipped providers lead to better patient outcomes and healthier communities across Pampanga.
