April 7, 2026 marked a significant milestone as JASMC-BUCAS Victoria, Tarlac celebrated its first year of dedicated service to the community. It has been a year of growth, commitment, and unwavering passion for health care, shared with the people of Victoria.
The morning was filled with inspiration and gratitude, starting with a warm welcome and opening remarks from JBLMGH Medical Center Chief II, Dr. Monserrat S. Chichioco. This was followed by a powerful special message from DOH Regional Director Dr. Corazon I. Flores and a truly inspirational talk from Mayor Rex C. Villa Agustin, both emphasizing the strength of our partnership.

The program highlighted our inaugural year through a commemorative presentation and a lively intermission. Closing the event, Dr. Marvinson H. Aquino offered remarks that bridged our current successes with a clear, purposeful roadmap for the facility’s future.

A celebratory lunch was hosted by the Masters of Ceremony, Miss Dianne Marie Ramos-Ambat and Mr. Norman G. Lagman, who brought an atmosphere of shared success and renewed energy. The event was also attended by the Executive Committee (ExeCom), Dr. Alfonso Danac, Chief of Medical Professional Services (COMPS), and Ms. Jocelyn Flores, CAO-Finance. JBLMGH extends its gratitude to everyone who has been part of the JASMC-BUCAS story so far. Here’s to many more years of providing quality healthcare to all!

DOH is alert and on Code White alert starting March 30 to April 6, 2026 as part of the agency's response particularly the DOH-Central Office, Centers for Health Development in the regions and hospitals in medical needs this Holy Week.

Under Code White alert, health emergency teams, health commodities and emergency rooms of DOH hospitals are on standby 24/7 for quick response to road crash incidents, injuries, and other health emergencies in the coming week.

On March 26, 2026, JBLMGH was recognized at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2026. The hospital was honored with the Service Innovation of the Year award through its entry titled “Innovating Health Promotion: Bringing Education, Awareness, and Impact to Every Corner,” led by the Infection Prevention, Control, and Epidemiology Surveillance Unit.

This recognition reflects a shared commitment to bringing health education and awareness closer to communities, ensuring that no one is left behind. It highlights ongoing efforts to strengthen prevention, promote safety, and empower individuals through knowledge and compassionate care.

Hindi na kailangan magpunta sa malayong ospital para magpatingin, dahil inilapit na ng 61 Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Services (BUCAS) Centers ang serbisyong medikal sa mga probinsya para abot-kamay at agaran ang aksyon sa mga may sakit.

Kilalanin ang babaeng Medical Center Chief ng DOH-Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital na nanguna sa pagpapatakbo ng unang DOH-BUCAS Center sa bansa.

Rabies-Free na Pusa’t A*o, Kaligtasan ng Pamilyang Pilipino”

JBLMGH celebrates Rabies Month through the Public Health Unit, Animal Bite Treatment Center, Pharmacy Department and JASMC BUCAS Sto. Tomas, in collaboration with Pampanga Provincial Veterinary Office and LGU of Sto Tomas.

In line with this year’s theme, a day of learning and service was successfully conducted last March 25, 2026 at the Sto. Tomas Evacuation Center to promote responsible pet ownership to strengthen rabies prevention in the community. Participants were welcomed by Dr. Emerita C. Danac, Head of JASMC BUCAS Sto. Tomas followed by opening remarks by Dr. Marigold Sibal, Head of Public Health Unit.

The activity highlighted two key topics: “Rabies-Free na Pusa’t A*o, Kaligtasan ng Pamilyang Pilipino,” delivered by Dr. Faye Clarice Maturan, which discussed the transmission of rabies, its warning signs, prevention strategies, and the importance of timely vaccination to protect both pets and families; and the Responsible Pet Ownership Lay Forum, prepared by Dr. Jasmin Manlutac, Pampanga Provincial Vet and facilitated by Mr. Marthie Macatuno, which provided practical guidance on proper pet care, vaccination schedules, and the roles and responsibilities of pet owners in maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Beyond the lectures, we took real steps to protect our furry friends and families: ✅ 29 Pet Vaccinations | ✅ 33 Pet Deworming | ✅ 15 Pet Neuter/ Kapon | ✅ 14 Human PrEP.

This initiative reflected a shared commitment to safeguarding both human and animal health, reinforcing that a rabies-free community begins with informed and responsible pet ownership.
