Matillano shared her thoughts on the experience, "This moment feels quiet but powerful; it reminds me that a studentโs heart and voice can still reach the overlooked and show that speaking up and caring truly matters. Iโm deeply thankful to my ND family, our research team, and our adviser Dr. Martinez for believing in me, and above all, to God for strength and purpose. To fellow nursing students: keep caring, keep asking, keep raising your voice. Our textbooks teach us skills, but our hearts teach us impact, and when work is done with love, it never goes unnoticed, because when we lift the unseen, we lift the future of us all."
โ
โFor the SAC Nursing Department, these achievements are more than just trophies. Guided by committed faculty and supported by a vibrant community of peers, these student-researchers are doing more than learning, they are taking the lead, innovating, and creating meaningful change in society.
โ
โThe success of SAC's Nursing students, Ramos and Matillano at the poster contest reflects dedication, resilience, and vision, serving as an inspiration to the entire academic community. Nursing is not only a profession, but a mission and a calling, and these young scholars are poised to keep advancing healthcare, adding to the departmentโs ongoing legacy of excellence, one innovative idea at a time.
