The Mental Health Conference 2026 is currently taking place at the Cultural Center of Lipa City as part of the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Philippine Mental Health Association - Batangas Chapter.

The event brings together mental health professionals, advocates, educators, students, organizations, and community leaders in a meaningful gathering focused on promoting mental health awareness, strengthening support systems, and encouraging open conversations about mental wellness.

Through inspiring discussions, seminars, and collaborative activities, the conference highlights the importance of compassion, understanding, and accessible mental health services for every individual. It also serves as a reminder that mental health is a shared responsibility and that creating safe and supportive communities can make a lasting difference in people’s lives.

As PMHA Batangas celebrates three decades of service and advocacy, the organization continues its commitment to empowering communities, breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, and promoting hope, healing, and resilience for all.

In celebration of Labor Day, our residents came together for a day of creativity and connection, bringing workers to life through charades and building a mural piece by piece.

Through a draw-and-act charades game (Guess the Gawa), the residents picked roles and expressed them through movement while others guessed, turning simple actions into meaningful stories of labor. They also worked together to connect blank sheets into one large canvas, later filling it with drawings and messages honoring workers.

From laughter to reflection, each activity reminded us that every role matters and every effort counts.

After a day of cleaning the facility, everyone enjoyed a well-earned splash in the pool and joined simple games that brought both fun and meaningful lessons, while also having a refreshing break from the heat.

The first game involved passing water down the line to fill a basin. Since they could not fully see the person behind them, spills were part of the challenge. It highlighted carefulness, trust, adjusting despite uncertainty, and managing frustration while waiting for one’s turn.

The second game involved shooting pingpong balls into their team’s basin, which constantly moved with the waves in the pool. It encouraged focus, taking turns, and staying on target despite movement and distractions.

Beyond the fun, the afternoon also promoted connection, emotional balance, and healthy stress release through shared activity and laughter.

Closed doors may bring setbacks, pain, or uncertainty, but they can also protect our peace and prepare us for new beginnings. Last Monday, our residents reflected on the previous day's homily and were reminded that every ending can lead to healing, hope, and new doors ahead.
