A Milestone in Heart Care at Nueva Ecija Medical Center! ❤️⚡

On August 19, 2025, Nueva Ecija Medical Center proudly achieved a historic first: the successful implantation of a Single Chamber Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) for a 59-year-old patient with Advanced Heart Failure.

An ICD is a life-saving device designed to detect dangerous heart rhythms and deliver timely therapy, protecting patients at risk of sudden cardiac arrest. This breakthrough marks a new era of cardiovascular care in Nueva Ecija — ensuring patients no longer need to travel far for advanced, world-class heart treatment.

NEMC FIVE: Service Beyond Borders

On the final day of our 5th Anniversary celebration, we brought the same heartfelt services to the people of Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija — Approximately 26 kilometers away from NEMC San Leonardo. 🚐💙

More than 200 people received free healthcare services, made possible by the selfless dedication of 38 NEMC volunteers. This mission was led by our compassionate doctors:

On the 2nd day of our 5th Anniversary, we chose to give back — because the best way to celebrate is to serve the people who continue to trust us. ✨

Our Day 1 of the Medical Mission was held at the San Leonardo Gymnasium, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija. Hundreds of our kababayans received:

Day 1 of our 5th Anniversary continued with our Opening Program — a celebration not just of milestones, but of people, stories, and dreams fulfilled. 💙

The program began with the launch of the official NEMC website, a step toward making healthcare more accessible in the digital age. 🌐

We also honored our employees who have been with us since the very beginning, receiving their 5 Years of Service Loyalty Award — a true testament of dedication and love for service. ❤️

Our President & CEO, Dr. Leonardo F. Gonzales, shared an inspiring message, looking back on the humble yet courageous beginnings of NEMC during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic — a reminder that resilience and faith brought us here. 🤍
