NUTRI-CARAVAN: The WellSpring Project orientation was conducted by the Provincial Veterinary Office assisted by the Municipal Health & Nutrition Action Office. 25 at-risk preschoolers from Barangays’ Dibut and Real were chosen to be the beneficiaries of the said activity. They will receive a weekly ration of fresh milk and eggs from the PVO for 10 weeks. Nutri-Champs and Nutri-Fams will be rewarded by the end of the project based on changes and improvement in their nutritional status through weekly height and weight monitoring of health and nutrition workers.

PPAN GabaySerye: Nutrisyon sa Bagong Pilipinas! Year 2 is back for its second episode, featuring not one—but two powerful sessions tackling today’s most pressing nutrition issues!

𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟏: “𝐍𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 – 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝-𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞” will help us discover how climate change impacts our food systems and what we can do to build a nourished, climate-resilient Philippines.

We will be joined by Dr. Maria Theresa M. Talavera, Professor at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, as presenter.

Together with Mr. Hercules P. Callanta, Associate Professor at the University of the Philippines Diliman and Board of Trustee of the Philippine Association for the Study of Overweight and Obesity, will serve as the resource speaker for this discussion.

Ngayong Buwan ng Agosto 2025, kaisa ang Tanggapang Pangkalusugan ng Bayan ng San Luis sa pagdiriwang ng National Breastfeeding Awareness Month na may temang: "Prioritize Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable Support Systems."

Layunin ng temang ito na palakasin ang suporta para sa mga nanay sa pamamagitan ng masustansyang pagkain, sapat na pahinga, at emosyonal na kalinga, upang mapanatili ang matagumpay at tuloy-tuloy na pagpapasuso.

Suportahan natin ang bawat inang nagpapasuso-- para sa susunod na henerasyon!

In observance of the 51st National Nutrition Month, LGU San Luis successfully conducted its Municipal Nutrition Month Celebration with the theme: “Food at Nutrition Security Gawing Priority, Sapat Na Pagkain Karapatan Natin!” on 28th of July, 2025. The LCE, Mayor Ariel Angara De Jesus spearheaded this meaningful event together with Vice Mayor Leet Marzan, Sanggunian Bayan & Municipal Nutrition Committee Members, the Municipal Health Office and Nutrition Action Office. 18 Barangay Nutrition Committees of the municipality participated the activities such as: Nutri-Table Contest, Nutri-Costume Contest and Zumba Dance Exhibition. The Municipality also recognizes the hard work and dedication of BNS and BNC through awarding of cash incentives and certificate of recognition to outstanding nutrition workers based on the result of the Monitoring of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro of 2024 conducted from May to June this year. Local Officials, stakeholders, department heads, MNC and BNC members, Health and Nutrition workers and the LGU employees recited the pledge of commitment to support the PPAN ppas that will help eradicate hunger and malnutrition in the municipality.
