The LGU San Luis Government Employees filled the stage with energy, rhythm, and positivity through their Zumba dance moves in celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, aligned with the Healthy Workplace Priority Area #1: Diet and Exercise. This vibrant activity, held last September 23, 2025 at the Municipal Amphitheater, Doña Maxima, San Luis, Agusan del Sur, became a testament to the unity, discipline, and commitment of our dedicated public servants in promoting a healthier workplace and a healthier community.

Far beyond just the dance, the event served as a reminder that health is wealth and that regular exercise, together with proper nutrition, is the foundation of a productive workforce and quality public service. With every step, beat, and smile, the employees demonstrated that wellness is not just a personal goal but a shared responsibility—one that builds stronger connections, boosts morale, and inspires the community to take part in a culture of health and fitness.

As we celebrate 125 years of excellence in the civil service, LGU San Luis proudly embraces the vision of a healthy workplace, healthy workforce, ensuring that the delivery of government service is not only efficient but also powered by wellness and vitality. 🇵🇭❤️

🌿✨ Bringing Health Closer to the Community! ✨🌿

Our hearts are full after the successful Medical Mission and Outreach Activity held September 26, 2025 in Barangay Culi, San Luis, Agusan del Sur! 💚👏

A huge thank you to the Agusan del Sur Medical Society for their wonderful initiative to reach out to our unserved and underserved kababayans. Through their dedication, residents were able to receive free medical services such as:
👩‍⚕️ Adult and pediatric consultations
🤰 Prenatal check-ups and free ultrasound for high-risk pregnant moms
✂️ Minor surgical procedures like cyst removal and circumcision
👁️ Eye check-ups for our beloved seniors
💗 Cervical cancer screening and clinical breast exams
🫁 And even free chest X-rays!

The mission didn’t stop there! 💫 The medical team also visited Sitio Inabucayan Elementary School to share love and support with the learners by distributing dental and hygiene kits and school supplies — promoting both health and education. 📚🪥✨

The activity was made even more meaningful through the collaboration and support of our amazing partners:

💚 Together, we proved that when we work hand in hand, we can make quality healthcare accessible to everyone — especially those who need it most. Maraming salamat to everyone who shared their time, expertise, and compassion for the people of Barangay Culi! 🙌✨

In celebration of the World Environmental Health Day 2025, the San Luis Municipal Health Office (MHO), together with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), spearheaded a meaningful and impactful event through advocacy activities and a clean-up drive, in collaboration with the committed employees of the Local Government Unit of San Luis last September 23, 2025 at the Municipal grounds.

This initiative emphasized the vital connection between environmental protection and public health, highlighting that a clean, safe, and sustainable workplace environment forms the foundation of a healthier and more resilient community. Through informative advocacy efforts, participants were reminded of their shared responsibility in preserving natural resources, while the clean-up drive turned these values into concrete action—fostering unity, volunteerism, and environmental stewardship.

The celebration served as a reminder that protecting the environment is not just a duty, but a legacy—one that we must collectively uphold for future generations. By breathing cleaner air, drinking safer water, and living in healthier surroundings, we secure not only individual well-being but also the sustainable development of our municipality.

With the active involvement of municipal employees and partner offices, the event proved that environmental health is community health. 🌱 Tree Planting for a Healthier Future! 🌿

The San Luis Primary Care Facility, led by Dr. Alvin Jay Labella and Dr. Hanni Linconada, together with our dedicated health workers, proudly participated in the Tree Planting Activity organized by the Agusan del Sur Medical Society (ADSMS) as part of the PMA Medicine Week Celebration last September 23, 2025. 🌳
This meaningful activity was held in support of the World Environmental Health Day and was actively joined by members of the TALASAN Interlocal Health Zone and other passionate ADSMS members.
A big thanks to the Municipality of Talacogon for sponsoring the Golden Trumpet Tree seedlings, which were planted in their municipal grounds — a symbol of our shared commitment to a greener and healthier environment for all. 💚🌎

A vibrant and meaningful Launching of the Healthy Workplace with the theme Healthy Workplace, Healthy Workforce was successfully held last September 22, 2025! Employees actively participated in a series of advocacy sessions and fun mind quizzes anchored on the DOH 7 Health Promotion Priority Areas, with special focus on Diet and Exercise 🥗🏃 and Environmental Health 🌍🌱.

The activity highlighted the importance of balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and a safe, sustainable workplace environment in ensuring the overall well-being of every employee. Through this initiative, we strengthen not only our health but also our unity as one workforce—proving that a healthy workplace truly creates a healthy and productive community.

Ang San Luis Primary Care Facility opisyal nang gi-akreditahan isip usa ka provider sa General Mental Health Services Package—usa ka dakong milestone alang sa pasilidad sa ilang tinguha nga mahatagan ang komunidad og lig-on, hapsay, ug kalidad nga serbisyo sa mental health. Ang maong akreditasyon nagpamatuod nga ang pasilidad nakatuman sa mga sumbanan ug gikinahanglan nga pamalaod nga gi-set sa Department of Health alang sa mental health services ubos sa Primary Care Package.

Kini nga pasidungog nagpalig-on sa katuyoan sa San Luis Primary Care Facility nga magpadayon sa paghatag og mental health services nga duol, abot-kaya, ug sensitibo sa panginahanglan sa mga pasyente. Isip gi-akreditahan nga provider, andam na karon ang pasilidad sa paghatag og mga serbisyo sama sa mental health assessment, clinical management, referral, ug follow-up care nga kabahin sa usa ka holistikong pagtan-aw sa kahimsog sa pangisip.

Ang kalampusan usa ka resulta sa paningkamot sa tanang healthcare workers, liderato sa pasilidad, ug suporta sa lokal nga panggamhanan ug stakeholders nga naningkamot nga ang mental health mahimong prayoridad sa tanang aspeto sa panglawas.

Padayon ang San Luis Primary Care Facility sa pagserbisyo isip kasaligan nga kauban sa paglambo sa mental health care sa rehiyon, nga nag-uban sa nasudnong mga tumong ug panglantaw para sa usa ka mas himsog ug lig-on nga komunidad.

The Municipality of San Luis, Agusan del Sur proudly received the 2024 Green Banner Seal of Compliance during the Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony 2025 held at VCDU Prince Hotel, Imadejas, Butuan City on September 19, 2025.

Vice Mayor Ely Yecyec and Municipal Nutritionist Mr. Jerome Cadeliña attended the event to proudly receive the award on behalf of San Luis Municipality.

Congratulations also to the San Luis Primary Care Facility for their dedication to provide better nutrition and healthier communities.

Last September 10, 2025, the spirit of bayanihan was alive and thriving in Barangay Balit and Dimasalang, San Luis, Agusan del Sur, as residents came together for a blood donation activity aimed at saving lives and supporting local healthcare needs. This vital initiative was spearheaded by Dr. Alvin Jay D. Labella, our dedicated Municipal Health Officer, together with the passionate service of Dr. Hanni Bless Linconada, one of the courageous Doctors to the Barrios, whose commitment to rural health continues to inspire change in our communities.

Through the collective efforts of the Municipal Health Office, barangay health workers, local volunteers, and generous donors, the event successfully gathered life-saving blood units that will go a long way in aiding patients in emergencies, surgeries, and other medical needs within the province and beyond.

This event was not just about donating blood—it was a celebration of community, compassion, and civic responsibility. Every drop donated is a gift of life, a symbol of hope, and a powerful reminder that together, we can make a difference.

Last September 9, 2025, we successfully held the San Luis Joint Local Health Board and Municipal Nutrition Council meetings. 🏥🥦

It was an intense yet comprehensive discussion where key stakeholders came together to address pressing issues on health and nutrition in our municipality. Together, we tackled challenges, shared insights, and crafted action plans to further strengthen our programs for the community.

With everyone’s commitment and collaboration, we are confident that these efforts will pave the way for a healthier and more nourished San Luis.
