In partnership with the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) through its Human Milk Bank, the Municipal Health Office of San Mariano, and the Isabela Provincial Health Office, successfully conducted a Breastmilk Donation Activity with the theme, “Breastmilk ay GINTO: Gatas ay Ibahagi ni Nanay Tungo sa Optimal na Paglaki ni Baby,” on August 19, 2025, in San Mariano, Isabela.
The event marked the first-ever community-based milk-letting activity in the municipality, generating 1,300 mL of breastmilk donations from 32 lactating mothers. A health education session was also held, highlighting the benefits of breastfeeding and the importance of human milk banks in promoting maternal and child health.
The Municipal Health Office of San Mariano affirmed its commitment to sustain the initiative as part of its regular health programs and to support the ongoing efforts of CVMC’s Cagayan Valley Liquid Gold Awards.
Said initiative also formed part of the celebration of National Breastfeeding Awareness Month and World Breastfeeding Week, anchored on the theme “Prioritize Breastfeeding, Create Sustainable Support System.”
