March 7, 2025 | Adolescent Issues and Concerns: Gender and Development Seminar
Isabela State University - San Mateo Campus Guidance and Counseling Services in partnership with the Health Services conducted a half-day seminar entitled: “Adolescent Issues and Concerns: Gender and Development Seminar”. This is also in connection to our National Women’s Month celebration with the sub-theme: “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas” which reinforces the core objective of R.A. 9710 or the Magna Carta of Women to empower women, promote gender equality, and ensure equitable access to resources and opportunities.
Resource speakers from Rural Health Unit of San Mateo were invited in this event to address crucial topics on Mental Health, Dating, Effects and Prevention of Teenage Pregnancy, and HIV/AIDS Awareness.
This activity together with the Peer Helpers Club and the First Aider's Club - ISU San Mateo aims to raise awareness within our institution that will create a campus environment where all individuals have the opportunity to thrive and contribute to a more just and equitable society.
