PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND UNDERSTAND
TRANSMAN 101
Transgender Man or a Trans Man is different from being a Le***an. And again, WALANG MASAMA SA PAGIGING LE***AN, I’M JUST EXPLAINING NA IBA ANG TRANS MAN TO AVOID CONFUSION AND TO CLARIFY THINGS UP.
Ang Transgender man ay LALAKI na pinanganak na may genitalia and body parts of a female, ganun pa man, hindi ito kabawasan sa pagiging LALAKI ng isang Transgender Man.
Karamihan sa mga Transgender Man or Trans Man ay nag-a-undergo ng HRT (hormone replacement therapy), para magmatch yung gender identity nila sa kanilang katawan.
May iba rin naman hindi nagtatransition, minsan dahil sa health reasons, may iba naman na ayaw lang din talaga nila dahil hindi nila nakikita na kailangan nila mag-undergo ng HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy). Pero hindi kabawasan ng isang Trans Man kung hindi nya gusto or kung hindi sya pwede magtransition or magpapalit ng body parts. Kahit pareho tayo ng Gender Identity, magkakaiba pa rin tayo ng desisyon at may kanya kanyang pa rin tayong dahilan.
May mga Le***an and Non-Binary na pinipili rin na mag-undergo ng HRT, dahil Masculine ang kanilang Expression. Pero hindi ibig sabihin nun ay Transgender na sila, iba ang Gender Identity sa Expression. Alam kong nakakalito kaya please take time na unawain yung Basics ng SOGIE. There’s nothing wrong kung gusto nila mag-undergo ng HRT, sana lang magpacheck up tayo bago mag-inject or magtake ng kahit na ano. At pakiusap h’wag natin iinvalidate ang isa’t isa, kanya kanyang decision and choices.
Anyway, ito ang ilan sa mga acronyms or salita na siguro madalas nyo na rin nakikita or naririnig:
Dysphoria – it comes from a Greek word “Dysphoros” which means difficult to bear. This term is often use to refer to Gender Dysphoria.

HRT - Hormone Replacement Therapy also sometimes called cross-s*x hormone therapy, is a form of hormone therapy in which s*x hormones and other hormonal medications are administered to transgender or gender nonconforming individuals for the purpose of more closely aligning their secondary s*xual characteristics with their gender identity. *source: Wikipedia
Pre-T - Pre-testosterone, someone or a Trans Man who plans to take testosterone, and hasn’t started yet.
On T - On Testosterone, someone or a Trans Man who’s undergoing HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) by taking testosterone. Three main ways of administering testosterone are by injection, by skin patch or gel, and by pill. *Please consult a doctor before administering testosterone.
FTM - Female-to-Male, this is another term for trans man and transs*xual man, to refer to a transgender person who is transitioning from being Female to Male.
Top Surgery - For transgender men it is a surgical procedure to remove your breast tissue (subcutaneous mastectomy). It is also called masculinizing chest surgery. The most common techniques surgeons use are called double incision, periareolar, and keyhole. (*soon, I will share a video created by a surgeon explaining how this surgical procedure is being done.)
Bottom Surgery also known as gender affirming surgery or gender reassignment surgery.
Examples of bottom surgery include:
• removal of the uterus, known as a hysterectomy
• removal of the va**na, known as a vaginectomy
• construction of a p***s through metoidioplasty or phalloplasty

By the way about Sexual Orientation (SO sa SOGIE), ang Transgender Man ay pwedeng Heteros*xual, Homos*xual, Bis*xual, As*xual or Pans*xual at iba pa. Syempre iba naman yung pagkakakilala mo sa sarili mo kesa sa kung sino or kanino ka naa-attract s*xually or romantically.
(Kung Trans Man ka at hindi ka Heteros*xual, walang kaso yun, gusto kong malaman mo at tandaan mo that you are Valid and it is okay.)
With regards of Expression (E sa SOGIE), wala din masama kung hindi masculine ang isang Trans Man. Kung may pagka-feminine or androgynous ang isang Trans Man, normal yun. Let us cut the Toxic Masculinity sh*t.
