The 44th Chapter of the Philippine Red Cross.

Born officially in 1947, but with roots that traces back to the revolutionary days, the Philippine Red Cross has truly become the premier humanitarian organization in the country, committed to provide quality life-saving services that protect the life and dignity especially of indigent Filipinos in vulnerable situations. The story of the Philippine Red Cross is the story of men and women from all

walks of life who have dedicated themselves to the service of humanity. It is the tale of hundreds of thousands of ordinary people who devoted their time and resources to help the poorest of the poor. Professionally trained and truly compassionate, these men and women are ready to lend a helping hand to those in need – whoever, whenever and wherever they may be. At present, the Philippine Red Cross provides six major services: Blood Services, Disaster Management Services, Safety Services, Health Services, Social Services, Red Cross Youth and Volunteer Services. All of them embody the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement – humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality. These values guide and inspire all Red Cross staff and volunteers, to whom being a Red Crosser is more than just a philosophy but a way of life.

Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter Marks a Historic 75th Anniversary

The Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter proudly commemorated a momentous milestone, its 75th Chapter Anniversary with a heartfelt celebration held on August 2, 2025, at the San Pablo City Convention Center.

This significant event brought together a powerful community of leaders, volunteers, partners, and supporters who have, through the years, shaped and strengthened the chapter’s enduring legacy of humanitarian service.

We extend our profound gratitude to our esteemed Board of Directors, committed staff and volunteers, and to our trusted partners, sponsors, and suppliers whose unwavering support has been instrumental in the success of this celebration. Your generosity and shared passion for service continue to inspire and sustain the mission of the Red Cross in San Pablo City and beyond.

A special and sincere appreciation goes to the Philippine Red Cross Secretary General Dr. Gwendolyn T. Pang for gracing the occasion with her presence and delivering a deeply inspirational message, reinforcing the vital role of every volunteer and chapter in the collective work of the Philippine Red Cross nationwide.

This 75th anniversary is not only a celebration of our rich history and achievements, but also a powerful reminder of our shared purpose, to be always first, always ready, and always there for those in need. It renews our commitment to uphold the Red Cross values and principles.

LEGACY OF COMPASSION: 75 years of Service, Humanity and Hope

In a powerful expression of gratitude and unity, the Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter commenced its week-long celebration of its 75th anniversary with a solemn Thanksgiving Mass followed by a vibrant motorcade on July 30.

The event brought together dedicated volunteers, staff, partners, and supporters to honor 75 years of unwavering humanitarian service to the community. The Mass served as a moment of reflection and thanksgiving for the countless lives touched through decades of selfless commitment, while the motorcade proudly paraded the spirit of volunteerism through the streets of San Pablo City.

This milestone celebration not only commemorates the chapter’s rich legacy but also reaffirms its continued mission of saving lives and serving humanity with compassion and resilience.

The 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 successfully conducted a Poster Making Contest on 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, with the theme "𝐊𝐔𝐌𝐈𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎𝐒".

The activity was attended by representatives from 14 𝙍𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙡𝙨, showcasing their creativity and commitment to humanitarian values through visual art.

This event was made possible in partnership with the 𝙋𝙍𝘾 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚, 𝙍𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙖𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙤 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙡 and the 𝙍𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙍𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙚𝙧, reflecting a shared dedication to youth empowerment and community engagement.

PHILIPPINE RED CROSS SAN PABLO CITY CHAPTER COMMENCES 75TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION WITH FLAG CEREMONY AT CITY CAPITOL

As a fitting prelude to its 75th Chapter Anniversary, the Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter solemnly led the Flag Ceremony on July 28, 2025, at the Pamana Hall of the San Pablo City Capitol.

This significant event gathered the Chapter’s esteemed Board of Directors, dedicated staff, Red Cross Youth, and Red Cross 143 volunteers, in unity with the San Pablo City Local Government Unit. Their collective presence reflects a shared commitment to humanitarian service and a continued pledge to uphold the Red Cross Principles, Mission and Vision .

We are deeply honored by the presence of Hon. Mayor Najie Gapangada, Jr., who delivered an inspiring and heartfelt message. His words of support and recognition served as a powerful reminder of the impact of volunteerism and the vital role of the Red Cross in building safer, more resilient communities. His message also highlighted the enduring partnership between the Chapter and the City Government in serving the most vulnerable.

The Flag Ceremony stands not only as a symbolic gesture of patriotism but as a solemn reaffirmation of our humanitarian mission, a mission that, for the past 75 years, has brought hope, help, and healing to countless lives.

As we look forward to the formal celebration of our 75th Chapter Anniversary on July 30, 2025, we do so with gratitude in our hearts, strength in our unity, and a renewed dedication to serve humanity without bounds.

Philippine Red Cross launched a nationwide CPR Caravan from July 18 to World Restart a Heart Day (October 18, 2025) , aiming to train 1 million Filipinos in CPR and first aid response.

In connection to this, San Pablo City Chapter conducted its first day of CPR Caravan at Brgy. Santiago 2. This was attended by the members of 4P's, facilitated by Safety Services Instructor and Red Cross Youth Instructors.

Last July 17, 2025 the Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter conducted National CPR Day 2025 among students from Ambray Elementary School this activity marked a meaningful escalation—from awareness to action—by broadening the base of trained responders and setting policy in motion.

The momentum is building toward a CPR-ready nation, but sustained efforts in training, AED access, and legislation remain essential.

In response to the recent displacement of families brought about by Tropical Cyclones Dante and Emong, the Philippine Red Cross – San Pablo City Chapter has been actively providing hot meals to affected individuals temporarily taking shelter in designated evacuation centers.

With the commitment and dedication of our Red Cross Youth, Red Cross 143 volunteers, and staff, the chapter was able to deliver essential hot meals to the following evacuation sites:

Col. Lauro Dizon Elementary School (Brgy. II-F):
34 affected families | 118 individuals

San Lucas 1 Elementary School:
6 affected families | 25 individuals

San Jose Elementary School:
7 affected families | 28 individuals

Platon Elementary School (Brgy. III-C):
10 affected families | 46 individuals

Guerilla Elementary School:
32 affected families | 119 individuals

This humanitarian initiative would not have been possible without the invaluable support of our community partners. We sincerely thank the following donors for their generous contributions:
