The 44th Chapter of the Philippine Red Cross.

Born officially in 1947, but with roots that traces back to the revolutionary days, the Philippine Red Cross has truly become the premier humanitarian organization in the country, committed to provide quality life-saving services that protect the life and dignity especially of indigent Filipinos in vulnerable situations. The story of the Philippine Red Cross is the story of men and women from all walks of life who have dedicated themselves to the service of humanity. It is the tale of hundreds of thousands of ordinary people who devoted their time and resources to help the poorest of the poor. Professionally trained and truly compassionate, these men and women are ready to lend a helping hand to those in need – whoever, whenever and wherever they may be. At present, the Philippine Red Cross provides six major services: Blood Services, Disaster Management Services, Safety Services, Health Services, Social Services, Red Cross Youth and Volunteer Services. All of them embody the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement – humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality. These values guide and inspire all Red Cross staff and volunteers, to whom being a Red Crosser is more than just a philosophy but a way of life.

Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter successfully conducted its 8th Regular Board of Directors Meeting at HIRAYA Farconville, Calihan, San Pablo City, presided over and led by Board Chairman Dir. Aaron Carlo D. Cabrera, with the attendance of the esteemed Board of Directors and Chapter Staff.

Before the adjournment of the meeting, the Board took a moment to celebrate the birthdays of Dir. Romeo B. Race, Dir. Regina A. Aquino, and Dir. Paul Michael Cuadra, the September celebrators, who were warmly greeted by their colleagues. The Chapter also extends its sincere appreciation to the celebrators for generously sponsoring the dinner that followed.

Poster Making Contest with the theme ‘First Aid and Climate Change’ was successfully conducted in partnership with the Rotary Club of San Pablo City Central with 11 participants from different schools. This meaningful activity served as a platform for the youth to express their creativity while deepening their understanding of the vital connection between first aid, preparedness, and the global challenge of climate change.

Through their artworks, participants conveyed inspiring messages of resilience, safety, and collective responsibility. The contest not only highlighted the importance of first aid knowledge in times of emergencies but also emphasized the role of the youth in promoting environmental stewardship and community resilience in the face of today’s pressing challenges.

Red Cross Youth Services

The Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter, through the Red Cross Youth (RCY) Services, successfully conducted the Youth Volunteer Formation Course Training in collaboration with San Vicente Integrated High School- Red Cross Youth Council. This meaningful activity was made possible through the support of Dr. Ruby A. Mendoza, School Principal and the invaluable guidance of our ever-supportive RCY Council Adviser, Mr. Adrian Ortiz.

The training was facilitated by our Trainer/Staff, Mr. Jayson Fajardo, who equipped the participants with knowledge and skills that will help them embody the values of volunteerism, humanity, and compassionate service.

Through this initiative, the Chapter warmly welcomes the new Red Cross Youth Volunteers who are now ready to carry forward the mission of the Red Cross in serving humanity and becoming future leaders of positive change.

Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter Partners with Frontline Christian Academy for Mental Health Awareness Session

The Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter extends its heartfelt gratitude to Frontline Christian Academy for the opportunity to take part in their initiative to promote mental health awareness among students.

On September 10, 2025, one of our staff members served as Resource Speaker in a Basic Mental Health Awareness Session attended by selected students of the academy. The session highlighted the importance of understanding mental health, breaking the stigma, and equipping the youth with knowledge and coping skills that foster resilience and well-being.

This meaningful partnership reflects our shared commitment to empowering the younger generation through education, compassion, and proactive health awareness. The Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter remains steadfast in advancing programs that uphold the well-being of individuals and communities alike.

Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter Welcomes New STI San Pablo RCY Volunteers

The Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter, through CSR-RCY/FR Mr. Jayson Fajardo, successfully conducted the Youth Volunteer Formation Course (YVFC) Training at STI San Pablo College.

This significant training served as a platform to equip new members of the STI San Pablo Red Cross Youth (RCY) Council with the knowledge, values, and skills essential in volunteerism and humanitarian service. The activity was made possible with the full support of the ever-dedicated RCY Adviser, Ms. Karen F. Garing, LPT, together with the leadership of RCY Council President, Ms. Zaira Mae Lorbes.

The Chapter warmly welcomes the newly inducted Red Cross Youth Volunteers of STI San Pablo College into the Red Cross Youth Philippines family. With their energy, passion, and commitment, we look forward to seeing these young volunteers become future leaders and advocates of humanity, ready to serve those in need with compassion, courage, and resilience.

Together, we continue to inspire the youth, strengthen volunteerism, and uphold the mission of the Philippine Red Cross.

Philippine Red Cross launched a nationwide CPR Caravan from July 18 to World Restart a Heart Day (October 16, 2025) , aiming to train 1 million Filipinos in CPR and first aid response.

In connection to this, San Pablo City Chapter conducted CPR Caravan at Brgy. San San Francisco Covered Court last August 27, 2025 . This was attended by the 4Ps Beneficiaries of the said Barangay, facilitated by Safety Services Instructor and Red Cross Youth Instructors.
