SM turns 40 and celebrates big by opening the first-ever Sensory Lab in the country at SM Mall of Asia! 💙

A calming, sensory-friendly space made for individuals on the spectrum, created together with DSWD, NCDA, and Autism Society Philippines. Present at the launch were ASP’s Mona Magno-Veluz, Dang Koe, DSWD Usec. Fatima Aliah Dimaporo, SM Supermalls President Steven Tan, and NCDA’s Glenda Relova. It’s okay if you see a child playing by themselves at daycare.

There are different types of play, and all of them are important for learning and growing. For example, solo play helps kids use their imagination and learn to entertain themselves. Parallel play is when kids play next to each other but not together, and it helps them get used to being around others. Both are normal and healthy.

Kids don’t always need to play in groups to learn and have fun.
