DALAWANG URI NG GLAUCOMA

Pinakakaraniwan ang primary open-angle glaucoma na pumipigil sa kakayanan ng mata na mag-drain ng fluid. Ito ay nagdudulot ng pagtaas ng eye pressure na sumisira sa optic nerve. Sa angle-closure glaucoma, ang iris ng isang tao ay napakalapit sa drainage angle ng kanyang mata. Mababarahan ng iris ang drainage angle at magdudulot ng pagtaas ng eye pressure.

MAPAPANATILI ANG PANINGIN SA MAAGANG DIAGNOSIS NG GLAUCOMA

Karamihan sa pagkawala ng paningin dulot ng glaucoma ay maiiwasan sa pamamagitan ng maagang diagnosis at paggamot. Nirerekomenda ng American Academy of Ophthalmology ang baseline, comprehensive dilated eye exam pagdating ng edad 40 kung kalian lumalabas ang mga unang senyales ng sakit sa mata at pagbabago sa paningin.
