‎𝗥𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀 is transmitted through direct contact (𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗲, 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵) 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗮 or brain/nervous system tissue from an infected animal. 𝗥𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀 is fatal but preventable viral disease. It can be spread to people and pets through the 𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 of an infected animal. 𝗥𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀 primarily affects the central nervous system, leading to severe brain disease and death if medical care is not received before symptoms start.

‎The first symptoms of rabies may be very similar to those of the flu and may last for days. Later signs and symptoms may include:

‎• Agitation
‎• Anxiety
‎• Confusion
‎• Hyperactivity
‎• Difficulty swallowing
‎• Excessive salivation

‎The HPV vaccine is a vaccine that protects against the human papillomavirus (HPV), a very common virus that can cause certain types of cancer and ge***al warts.

‎Key facts about the HPV vaccine:

‎Purpose: It helps prevent infections with HPV types that are most often linked to:

‎Cervical cancer
‎•Anal, throat, vulvar, vaginal, and pe**le cancers
‎Genital warts

‎Who should get it:
‎•Recommended for preteens (boys and girls) around age 11 or 12, but can be given as early as age 9.

‎•Catch-up vaccines are available for people up to age 26.
