The Judge Celestino Guerrero Memorial Hospital remains dedicated to delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare, ensuring every patient leaves with a smile.

The Judge Celestino Guerrero Memorial Hospital began its journey in 2000 as a modest clinic named Klinika ni Dok, situated behind the Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur town plaza. The clinic, initially staffed by just Dok Mila and Manang Luz, saw only a handful of patients each day. However, the clinic quickly gained popularity, with patients arriving in increasing numbers, often standing while they waited for their turn due to limited space. Over the years, the clinic expanded both in size and staff, leading to the establishment of the Judge Celestino Guerrero Memorial Hospital on April 27, 2009, a date chosen to honor the 88th birthday of Judge Celestino Guerrero. This expansion was a direct response to the growing demand for medical services from the community. In gratitude for the community's support, the hospital has committed to providing free medical services to underprivileged individuals annually. They conduct medical and minor surgical missions on the hospital's foundation day and on October 20th, in memory of Dok Mila's mother. Today, the hospital stands as a three-story building on Dakota St., Poblacion Sur, Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur, with 21 staff members under the leadership of Dr. Mila Guerrero.

📣Brgy. Nalvo, Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur, is now better equipped to save lives! Judge Celestino Guerrero Memorial Hospital's "Bare Hands that Care" project provided crucial Hands-Only CPR training, working hand-in-hand with the Local Government of Sta. Maria to create a CPR-ready community🤲

With the support of the Philippine Red Cross Prc Ilocos Sur Chapter, Southern Ilocos Sur Medical Society, and GRUPO Timpuyog, we also introduced the Red Cross 143 Project, seeking passionate volunteers in every barangay to champion health, welfare, disaster preparedness, and blood donation🩸

📣In celebration of National Hospital Week, our team from Judge Celestino Guerrero Memorial Hospital held a Lay Forum at Sta. Maria West Central School. We shared important information with parents about Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease, Dengue Fever, and MPox, while also demonstrating proper handwashing techniques to help prevent the spread of these illnesses🤲

The activity was in collaboration with the Philippine Hospital Association and Southern Ilocos Sur Medical Society.

🗣What an impactful National CPR Day it was!

Our "First Responder Team, Sa CPR Win na Win!" celebration truly underscored the power of collaboration and dedication. We began our day in Salcedo, Ilocos Sur, honored to have our colleague, Vice Mayor Louie Jeff Festejo Gironella, MD, join us. Later, we extended this vital, life-saving training to municipal employees at the Municipal Hall in Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur. A special shout-out to Mayor Michael Florendo and SBM Jose Marie Ancheta for their inspiring words that fueled our first responders.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all our partners: the Southern Ilocos Sur Medical Society, Philippine Heart Association, Philippine Red Cross Prc Ilocos Sur Chapter, Rhu Sta Maria, and the LGUs of Sta. Maria and Salcedo, Ilocos Sur.

🗣It's truly wonderful to be back at my alma mater, Sta. Maria West Central School! Today, we took significant strides towards a CPR-ready Sta. Maria with our "Bare Hands that Care" Hands-Only CPR Training, a project initiated by our hospital, Judge Celestino Guerrero Memorial Hospital, in collaboration with Southern Ilocos Sur Medical Society, Philippine Red Cross Ilocos Sur Chapter and Grupo Timpuyog.

In addition, as part of the ongoing National Infection and Prevention Control Week, we also had the opportunity to teach the students of Sta. Maria West Central School the importance of proper handwashing.

These simple acts are indeed vital for fostering a healthier community!

We extend our sincere gratitude to the entire teaching staff of Sta. Maria West Central School, particularly their very able Principal, Mrs. Wilma Brillantes, and Mrs. Albertina Marrero Cabatu, the President of the SMWCS Teaching Staff and Personnel.
