CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela โ The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Isabela Provincial Office actively participated in the 1st Circular Economy Investment Forum of the City of Ilagan on 26 March 2026, held at the Capital Arena, City of Ilagan, Isabela. The event convened key stakeholders from the government, private sector, investors, and development organizations to advance sustainable and inclusive economic growth in the Cagayan Valley.
The forum was initiated by the City Local Government Unit (CLGU) of Ilagan, under the leadership of City Mayor Hon. Josemarie L. Diaz, highlighting the cityโs commitment to promoting circular economy investment opportunities.
During the opening program, PCCI Regional Governor Mr. Jose Avelino C. Diaz delivered the welcome remarks, emphasizing the vital role of investments and sustainable business development in driving regional progress.
Through its EU-PH Green Economy Partnership SO2, also known as Green LGUs, the initiative empowers local governments and communities to lead inclusive circular economy transitions by reducing plastic and organic waste, creating green jobs, and building climate-resilient local systems anchored in sustainability.
DTI Isabela, under the leadership of Acting Provincial Director Atty. Cyrus I. Restauro, reaffirmed its strong commitment to advancing innovation, green investments, and inclusive growth. In his message, Atty. Restauro highlighted the Departmentโs twin mandates of business development and consumer protection, and underscored DTIโs initiatives and contributions to the circular economy. These include promoting sustainable production practices, supporting resource-efficient enterprises, and enabling MSMEs to adopt greener technologies through programs such as the Shared Service Facilities (SSF). The SSF Program provides MSMEs with access to shared equipment and facilities, allowing them to enhance productivity, improve product quality, and boost competitiveness without the burden of high capital investment.
Through its active participation and continued support for initiatives like this, DTI Region 2 โ Isabela strengthens collaboration among stakeholders, drives sustainable investments, and encourages LGUs to adopt green and innovative practices, ultimately contributing to a more resilient, competitive, and future-ready local economy.
