Ayon sa Philippine Society of Nephrology (2020), kung hindi maiiwasan ang lumusong sa baha, kailangang uminom ng doxycycline upang makaiwas sa leptospirosis na maaaring makuha sa kontaminadong tubig.

Mainam na sumangguni sa pinakamalapit na health center upang mabigyan ng gabay hinggil sa dose at tagal ng pag-inom. Para sa mga estudyante ng UP Manila, pumunta lamang sa PGH Ambu Emergency Room para sa libreng doxycycline prophylaxis. Dalhin lamang ang inyong UP Manila ID upang matanggap ang reseta.
