Moderate to occasional heavy (5.5-7.5 liters/meter² per hour) rains are affecting over
Mindoro (Abra de Ilog, Calintaan, Looc, Lubang, Magsaysay, Mamburao, Paluan, Rizal, Sablayan, San Jose, Santa Cruz); (Aborlan, Agutaya, Araceli, Kalayaan Islands, Balabac, Bataraza, Brooke's Point, Busuanga, Cagayancillo, Coron, Culion, Cuyo, Dumaran, El Nido, Linapacan, Magsaysay, Narra, Puerto Princesa City, Quezon, Rizal, Roxas, San Vicente, Sofronio Espanola, Taytay);
which may continue for 2 to 3 hours.

The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to monitor the weather condition and watch for the next advisory to be issued 5:00 PM.

LOOK: Photo of the Mayon Volcano crater at around 7:00 PM tonight, 9 June 2023, exhibiting crater glow or "banaag" around its summit lava dome. 28 relatively smaller rockfall events and zero volcanic earthquakes have been detected by the Mayon Volcano Network since 5:00 AM today.

SUPER TYPHOON “KARDING” INTENSIFIES FURTHER AS IT MOVES WESTWARD TOWARDS THE NORTHERN PORTION OF QUEZON – SOUTHERN PORTION OF AURORA

• Location of Center (10:00 AM)
The center of the eye of Super Typhoon KARDING was estimated based on all available data including those from Daet and Baler Doppler Weather Radars at 175 km East of Infanta, Quezon (15.0°N, 123.3°E)

• Intensity
Maximum sustained winds of 195 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 240 km/h, and central pressure of 920 hPa

• Present Movement
Westward at 20 km/h

• Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds
Strong to typhoon-force winds extend outwards up to 290 km from the center

Moderate to Heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Bataan, Bulacan, Batangas, Rizal, NuevaEcija, Pampanga within the next 2-3 hours.

The above conditions are being experienced in MetroManila(Muntinlupa, LasPinas), Cavite(Bacoor, Dasmarinas, Imus, GeneralTrias, Tanza, Rosario, Noveleta, Naic, TreceMartires, Silang, Carmona, GeneralMarianoAlvares, Maragondon), Laguna(SanPedro, Binan), Quezon(Jomalig, Patnanungan, Buenavista, Guinayangan, Catanauan, Mulanay, SanFrancisco) which may persist within 2 hours and may affect nearby areas.
All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides.
